Advantages: Colourful,informative guide ideal new comers
Disadvantages: may cover basic things for experienced owners

I own a Caique and an Amazon and purchased this book as the Caique is not a well behaved bird! I found it useful in basic tips and why and how they behave like they do, from topics like playing with your parrot to disciplining it. It's a good grounding in parrot ownership, particularly for new owners with maybe young parrots? My Amazon is an old grouch so wasn't much use to him at 25 years old but it has helped with my Caique who is a bit younger ...
...I have learnt what to do with him from this book. The pictures are very good and informative and all in all it is a good book although not all sections will be relevant to all birds and their owners! Stil, I would advise to buy this above others!!!!!!!! ...
