I simply *had* to write this review, Anna Sui Dreams being my most favourite perfume in the world, ever, full-stop, without question, 'nuff sed, end of story. :)
The first time I smelt it was in Superdrug, I think, with my mum. She kept going on about a girl at her work who brought in some gorgeous perfume that was in the most delightful bottle shaped like a handbag. Me, being the unofficial spokesperson for all things girly and cute, just had to have a sniff of it, I mean, a handbag bottle - how fabulous!
We found it, squirted some on, and went out of the shop, soaked in the most heavenly scent I'd ever had the pleasure of smelling. Ultra-feminine, sweet, and pretty were the first words that came to mind. On the Anna Sui website ( www.annasuibeauty.com ) Sui Dreams is described as:
"Part soft innocence, part rock 'n' roll vixen... a scent that embodies unbridled energy and beauty. It's a harmonious multiplicity of both warm and fresh, rich and transparent with its delicious elements tangerine and vanilla, anise and peach..."
Personally, I think the strongest scent in it is the vanilla, which some people find sickly, but I really love the sweetness of it. It is not too sweet, however, with the other fruity and floral smells combining to give an all-round girly, light perfume.
There's only so much you can say about a smell in a review; I suppose if you were interested you would actually have to go to a perfume shop and smell it for yourself.
Now, onto my favourite part...the bottle! I could hug it, I really could. It's just so...adorable! Shaped like a handbag, with a silver handle and embossed flowery swirls/patterns covering it, the bottle looks bright blue because of the colour of the perfume showing through the glass. In my opinion, the colour of the blue reflects the smell and the whole idea of it being called 'dreams'. Plus it looks great in my bedroom!
I purchased the 75ml/2.5oz bottle, which RRPs at around £35. It is the largest size, the smaller being 50ml/1.7oz (RRP around £27). However I managed to get it from eBay, shipped from the USA at a fraction of the price - $23.99, which works out at about £13! BARGAIN! It is definintely the 'Real McCoy' and came in the original box, sealed and in plastic wrapping. So my advice for you, if you were to buy this, would be to search for it on eBay, as I'm sure you'll get it at a lower price, possibly even lower than what I paid.
As well as the eau de toilette in two sizes, Sui Dreams is also available in a body lotion (200ml) and a bath & shower gel (also 200ml) which cost around £22 and £20 respectively.
This perfume is one which I would consider to appeal to 'younger' women, as it is fresh and light, and very girly. It is one that is perfect for daytime wear due to its subtlety, but is equally suited to evening wear because of its feminine elegance. It's completely up to the wearer, really!
All in all, a lovely fragrance, gorgeous bottle, pretty scent, nice price (especially if you can get it from eBay! ;) ) - everything you could want from a perfume really.

Dear Ciao User, We are sorry we can't show you any offers on this page for the product you have selected. You can find offers here: 1 - out of offers for Anna Sui Dreams
Advantages: Original bottle, scent is quite nice, reasonably priced Disadvantages: A bit on the average side of scents (in my opinion), blurb on website lets it down
