Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Takes 2-3 minutes for results, have to wee in a container
I found this product in my local chemist. I waited until all the customers had left the shop and then asked for a pregnancy test. I don't know why I did this as I had a wedding ring on and a 19 month old in a pram with me! I had a choice of one of the regular branded pack of two pregnancy tests for £13.99 or this one for a 'special price' of £2.99 for one. Not sure if this is the regular price but it had a big yellow sticker indicating the special price and it's not as if they wanted to clear the shelves as it's in date for over another year.
Anyway, ANSWER calls itself the one step pregnancy test. For £2.99 I knew it wasn't to be a new fandangled digital test although I was surprised to see how basic it really was.

Background
I stumbled across Yahoo! Answers (Y!A, for short) by accident. I had typed a question into Google about a TV show I'd watched and top of the search results was a link to someone asking the very same question on Y!A. The question was still open but the answers they'd got at that point were not particularly helpful, so I did a bit of research for myself, found the answer and decided to register on the site and answer the question. Afterwards, I started to browse the site and see what it was all about. Later that day I heard my email program 'ping' with new mail and there was a message to tell me that I'd been selected as 'Best Answer'. I'd helped someone else out. It was at this point that I ...

Advantages: Digital Display Disadvantages: You can't buy just the cartridges by themselves
I started out buying just the standard Clearblue Pregnancy Test. I brought this one initially as it was cheaper than some of the others (£10 for 2 test sticks). Anyway I was 7 days late but suspected before this that I may be pregnant but wasn't too sure how long you are supposed to wait before you can do the test. When I read the box I found out I could of actually done the test on the first day my period was due, so I didn't actually need to wait this long at all.
I had never taken a pregnancy test before but was very pleased to find that there were very clear instructions on the reverse of the packaging. The clear instructions were in 3 steps. Inside the packaging was a questionnaire, a more detailed description on how to use the test and 2 of the testers. The testers are individually wrapped and easy to open.
