The Antec P180 has been around for a long while now, and with the launch of the Antec 900 aimed specifically at gamers, Im here to suggest that you might want to re-think that purchase.
The interior of the P180 is truly innovative, with the power supply unit located at the bottom of the case instead of the top, it has it's own 120mm fan, which is around 38mm thick, to suck cool air from the front of the case, over the hard drives (too ... ...come with one 80mm), but antec have been generous, and being multi-level fans with speed control they've been super generous.
One of these 120mm fans acts as an exhaust for hot air in the roof, to loose that heat also there is another fan placed in the rear of the case aswell. So 3 multi-function fans for "free" in this amazing case.

The interior of the P180 is truly innovative, with the power supply unit located at the bottom of the case instead of the top, it has it's own 120mm fan, which is around 38mm thick, to suck cool air from the front of the case, over the hard drives (too cool them) and then pushes the hot air from the PSU out through the rear without it heating up the case.
It also has another 2, yes 2 120mm fans fitted as standard (most cases come with one 80mm), but antec have been generous, and being multi-level fans with speed control they've been super generous.
One of these 120mm fans acts as an exhaust for hot air in the roof, to loose that heat also there is another fan placed in the rear of the case aswell. So 3 multi-function fans for "free" in this amazing case.
There is also more space, yes more space for another 120mm fan to be fitted to the front of the case below the 5.25in bays while there is an option for an 80mm fan on the side to cool the graphic card area.
Antec have been a front runner when it comes to great cool cases, and this is an exceptional air-cooling case. It has brilliant airflow and great space inside it;
4 x front accessible - 5.25" - Mainly for the CD/DVD Drives 1 x front accessible - 3.5" - For your Floppy Drive 6 x internal - 3.5" - For your Hard Disks
It also boasts 2 x USB , 1 x FireWire, 1 x line-in/microphone and 1 x headphones jack out on the front right of the case. It also has a door to cover the cd/dvd drives and floppy drives and keeps the case cooler, which is lockable.
Custom PC choose this case every month as a top-end component to it's readers, and I must agree. I built a set-up with one of these, put in a Core2 Duo E6400, Geforce 7950x2 and 2gb DDR2 Ram and the temperatures are umistakably cooler than most cases could provide. A steady 25-35 degrees celcius under heavy load.
The Antec 900 might be there new case, but for price and space and cooling, this case is the better option.
Advantages: Excellent layout, airflow, and design. Disadvantages: Pricey, and the case is HUGE.

... ...decided when I was building myself a new PC that I'd go out and buy myself a decent case. I chose this case because of its layout, design, and excellent cooling system.
The case is laid out excellently and makes it easy to manage all your wires. The PSU is fitted at the bottom of the case in a semi-sealed compartment and so prevents excess wires and the PSU's fan upsetting the air flow.
The case has 3 fans, which all have 3 speed settings. Even ...

Manufacturer's product description
The P180 is truly a revolutionary breakthrough in case design. Dual chambers isolate the power supply and CPU into separate cooling zones with up to 5 configurable fans. Three-layer sound-deadening panels dampen noise even in very high-performance systems. Ease-of-use, sleek design and Antec's reputation for quality make the P180 worthy of being the first in a new category called the Advanced Super Mid Tower.
