...that something was missing from the q-tec one the weight difference was that big.
The power supply fan is very silent in operation, and there is even two connectors marked "fan only" to run other fans depending on the temperature in the power supply.
In use i have had no problems at all with this powersupply, my system has been 100% stable at all times - even when overclocked!
The problem with a generic/cheap power supply is that over time, the regulators and other associated circuitry inside them burn out or they dont regulate the voltage very well. This can cause burning of a motherboard, instability and crashes, strange error messages, and can even cause the power supply to go pop (taking the rest of your computer components with it).
I would recommend antec power supplies to anyone and now use ONLY antec when i build computers for people....

...enclosure.
Thirdly, it's got to have enough space to fit in all the bits you need to fit in - hard drives, DVD drives and expansion cards must all be catered for to reasonable levels. The Overture II does well here, with two internal and two external 3.25" bays as well as two 5.25" external bays your storage needs should be catered for, if not quite as well as with a tower case. It also has good room for expansion cards with 6 plates at the rear providing enough room for the USB plates and 3 / 4 PCI cards should you need them.
Finally, it needs enough power to do the job, again delivered as quietly as possible. As with other Antec cases in the LifeStyle range, this is catered for by the supplied Antec PSU that has smart fans and other technical trickery to ensure that it runs as quietly as possible without blowing up (although it still gets...

Advantages: Fast speed, great looks Disadvantages: Slighty noisy operation on startup
...ICY BOX can be considered as a top-end hard disc enclosure with sophisticated looks and a great finish it creates a very modern look complete with neon blue lights on its edges.
I bought the ICY BOUGHT to install a 250 GB Maxtor hard disk I bought to act as extra storage space for my laptop, whose 100 GB had filled up quickly with a growing collection of media files. The plug and play nature also lets me transfer large files between PCs and my laptop if needed.
Installation of a hard disc is very easy thanks to easy access provided by the four thumb screws which are simply to remove by hand. The IDE and power cables then simply slot into the appropiate slots on the rear of the hard disc.
The enclosure is for a 3.5" hard drive with ATA-133 connectivity. The device is a nice size to sit on a desk with dimensions of 11.7 cm (h) x 22...

As you might expect, it's difficult to write an in-depth review of a case fan without having any expensive equipment to detect airflow and noise, but judging by the way these seem to keep my system cool and stay quiet at the same time, I'd say they're... more
