Advantages: You can live without reading this book, but then you will be more shallow for it. Disadvantages: Very real.
...to capture not only the many details but also the surreal existential nature of the battle. You get a sense of what that 'being' must have been like. There is one chilling event in the book that sticks out for me more than any. During the later stages German troops started to mysteriously die from no obvious reasons. The German hierarchy flew in medical experts who were completely baffled and had never seen anything like it before. This battle was so diabolical for the Germans that many of them died not from bullets, stress, cold or hunger but from simply being there.
I recommend this book highly; it's one of the best I've read on World War II, if not the best. Very memorable....

...Scar Tissue - A Biography written by Anthony Kiedis and Larry Sloman.
This book without a doubt has been one of the best books i have ever read. It is a brutally honest and emotive representation of one of the most famous singer/ songwriters of the last 3 decades and the front man of one of the worlds greatest bands, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Upon reading the book, one thing i noticed was how highly he spoke of the many women in his life and how these women have played a major part in his...
