..., antibacterial, and antiseptic.”
Impressive eh? And there’s more…
In it’s time it has been used as a cure for “cancer, colic, faintness, flatulence, giddiness, migraine, nausea, neuralgia, nervous palpitations, poor appetite, pimples, rheumatism, sores, spasms, sprains, toothache, vomiting and worms.”
The essential oil, apart from making you feel good (as most commercial sellers will tell you) is effective against a number of bacterial infections, including some flu viruses. It also has anti-fungal properties and is effective against yeast infections. Whilst the oil stops itching when applied to insect bites, as an ointment lavender is good for burns, bruises and skin injuries.
An impressive little devil isn’t it?
But at the end of the day, I would rather have my lavender bushes, in my garden with their delightful array of colours and subtle...

...Optimmune – what is it?
Optimmune is Schering’s flagship product. It is a special eye ointment for the treatment of “dry eye” syndrome in our pets.
Where can I buy it?
You can only purchase this through your vet. It is very costly (approximately £36 per tube). The tube is small but can last for up to 6 weeks.
Why do I need it?

About one year later she started to get a real sticky yellowish discharge from her eyes. I took her to the vet and he did a “dry eye” test – a kind of litmus paper put into each eye (separately, of course”) for one minute only. The tears from the eyes soak into the paper which turns blue. The paper has markings on it (0-20) and the vet can...

...PINE OIL.
I am sure that at some point all of you have bought a bottle of pine disinfectant, but did you know of the other uses of pine oil.
Its super to maximise how clean your home is and to help prevent infections. Plus it smells great, with that woody aroma that is so often associated with cleanliness. It has long been used in Scandinavia in saunas, and burning the needles to clean and deodorise a room. Add to an oil burner with lavender and lemon and it will promote feelings of strength and energy.
Pines qualities are:
· Antiseptic
· Deodoriser
· An antidote to, viral infections, catarrh, pneumonia and sinusitis
· Cooling when feverish
· Warming when shivery
It blends well with other woody antiseptic oils.
You can neutralise smelly shoe odours by adding 3 drops of pine oil and 3 drops of lemon oil to cotton wool balls...
