The first and last laptop that I used was the Packard Bell EasyNote E6. My memories of this product are pleasant ones, never did I have abnormal technical problems or faults and it ran as smooth as a skate on ice. I had it for a year and I re-installed Windows XP professional only once due to a self induced predicament. Disregarding the system that runs on the E6 the laptop itself is technically stable and robust, though structurally I have experienced minor, hair-line fracture along the right hand hinge of the lid. However I put this down to a rather rough-and-tumble lifestyle with the military; any orthodox, residential use wouldn't do ANY harm, I'm sure.

...i bought this laptop about 3 months ago and was very happy with it at first, but it did not take long for things to go wrong!
i use my laptop every day for school work and recreation, so it does get a lot of use and travel.
i always keep it in an antler bag, and free from dirt and moisture, yet after 1 month it all went wrong,
the lid and latch have become loose and flop about all over the place, the speaker housing has rusted and cracked, the corner of the screen has a 1inch cluster of dead pixels, the battery life is 20mins! the psu overheats and cuts the power, losing and wrecking any work you are on, the fan never comes on to stop the overheating. and the overall quality is atrocious! it creaks and bends when you pick it up and the latch pops open on it's own! and last of all quickplay does not work anymore and it won't let...
