Advantages: Great book, well illustrated Disadvantages: No vegetarian recipes to speak of
...The people of Birmingham have always had a liking and a regard for good food. Birmingham, indeed, can out in the most convincing claim to be the true home of Balti style cooking, beating rival claimant Manchester to this accolade.
But anyone who would expect this book to be nothing but a collection of curries and the like will have to buy a copy of this book to see how wrong such an allegation could be!
For it is a wonderful collection of 50 different dishes and recipes form 17 of the best eating places in Birmingham. These include Al Faisals, Café Ikon, City Café, The Filini, Malmaison, The Oriental, Simpsons, The Tai Edge and many more besides.

Advantages: easy to follow recipes, well laid out, informative Disadvantages: none
...Now I'm sure that majority of you reading this review, have a Jamie Oliver cook book at home somewhere. I have to confess that I've got all his cookbooks, his biography and his wife Jools' book about pregnancy too. I've also met him too, I'm not obsessed with him, I just like his style of cooking, his recipes and he is a similar age to me. Yes he's good looking, but come on; compare him to other celebrity cooks such as Gordon Ramsey, AntonyWorrallThompson and Gary Rhodes. I'd choose Jamie every time.

Advantages: This is one of Shakespeares first efforts at tragedy and makes us question whether or not we pity the hero. Disadvantages: It is unclear whether or not Shakespeare wanted us to experience feelings of katharsis when seeing Antony's actions.
...In classical terms, a play must have certain features for it to be a tragedy. This is called “tragic theory”. Tragic theory dictates that, in order for a play to be a tragedy, it must fulfil specific criteria. There must be a tragic hero; somebody who has great reputation or prosperity. This tragic hero is to some degree responsible for his own demise; he makes an error of judgement, a tragic flaw. However, this is also seen as inevitable, he is seen as destined to this tragic end. Is Marc Antony a tragic hero? Are we, when watching the play left with the feelings (pity and fear) that are associated with a tragedy? Does “Antony and Cleopatra” have tragic effect?
