This DVD player is cheap. It's about £30 from the highstreet store.
It plays mp3s, dvds and is easy to make multi-region using a series of button inputs on the remote. (codes easily found on the internet) It weighs about 3kg, and sits nicely under the 14" tv in my bedroom. I use it to listen to music CDs and mp3 cds as well as watch dvds. It plays cdrs and dvdrs with no problems.
The remote is well laid out and the standby button is easy to locate at 3am when you wake up to find it still on. : )
I think it is an ideal solution for the kids bedroom for when they want to watch a dvd while you want to stay in the lounge watching tv.
It has a handy screen saver for when you do leave it on, so your tv doesnt discolour. Basic, but always useful...
It includes Zoom functions, up to 16x skip speed to skip the boring parts of films and a remote eject button, for the laziest of us all. But you still have to get up to change the CD/DVD in there.
Picture quality is perfect (well, as can be expected from a 14" tv) and the sound is very good.
I wouldnt use it as my main dvd player in the lounge as I like to have full-on surround sound in there, but as a bedroom or kids room dvd player, it's fine and dandy thankyou very much.
I'm very happy with it especially at the price paid.
