"Appetite For Great Music"

Wow. This album has all the raw components of a great rock album. Possibly one of the best and most notorious rock albums of all time.

Appetite for Destruction is a killer album, featuring the famous tracks such as:

"Welcome to the Jungle" – opening with “Oh My God” and a distinctive, tumbling guitar riff this track gets you straight in the mood for good rock… not to be let down by the sharp bass opening to “Its So Easy”;

"Paradise City" – The instantly recognisable guitar sound with the sing-alone chorus “take me down to the Paradise City, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty”

"Sweet Child O' Mine" – A guitar riff, triggering hundreds to reach for their guitars, a song that has spawned one of the best music videos ever

“You’re Crazy” – A quick, rocky, screaming version of the original acoustic-based track (which can be found on the GnR “Lies” album).

“Rocket Queen” – The climax of the album, switching from raunchy rock track to heartfelt, pounding moment of rock genius.

There isn't a single bad track on the album. Each track is a great combination of killer dueling guitar riffs and solos from Slash and Izzy Stradlin, with a steady bass and drums provided by Duff McKagan and Steven Adler, with the wonderful shattering, gritty voice of Axl Rose. - This of course being the original Guns N' Roses line-up.

The pent up emotions, feelings and passion for the music are felt in every track - One of the reasons for Guns N' Roses success was how true and heart-felt the songs were, this is true rock.

If you have heard Guns N' Roses later work such as the Use Your Illusion albums then you'll have heard the more mature, developed, artistic GnR sound, this is most definitely the root of all that success.

I would say this is a must-have album. Even if you are not a great fan of rock music you will enjoy this, the songs will grow on you with time and earn a place on your music-shelf. I can listen to this regularly without tiring of it.
