Advantages: Fast, stable operating system and innovative design.
Disadvantages: The price, but well worth it.

...When I first saw the new design of new iMac in 2001, I fell in love with it. I loved its space age, contemporary look that has won numerous awards. Then I saw the price and my heart sunk. I didn't think I'd be able to afford it. Eventually I received some unexpected money and and ran out to buy this computer. Setting up the machine at my home work station was a snap. Apple included a set up guide but I did not need it. There are icons on the back of the machine to make matching up the plugs fail-safe. Installing the OS was also easy. I followed the instructions and I was up and running in no time. One great feature of the iMac is that it has the Classic environment (OS 9) and Aqua (OS X). Advantages: Super Thin and light weight as well as very fast and stylish
Disadvantages: sound card could be better

...The Powerbook G4 is undoubtably the most powerful notebook on the planet. Handles incredibley well. Stable in all categories, but lacks depth in the sound department (capable of editing small movies but lacks class and quality in sound). Apple have gone one better with the powerbook, with ; style,weight,power and performance. If you are looking for price/power Apple is definitely your choose. With extremely awesome peripherals and upgrade options its definitely the best notebook on the planet. With the new osx operating system it has such a awesome look and feel to the notebook as well as the operating system. If Apple wanted to promote any of their new software or system peripherals that would definitely use the Apple powerbook G4 to do it.... Read review

...I, for one, cannot quite understand how apple macintosh have managed to stay in business, when seventy percent of the computers around the world are pc's compatible with microsoft software. I originally had an apple macintosh in 1991, and found immediately that this was the essential problem, for example, when wanting to save project work on to my disk and then use a friend's computer, this did not work. However, the apple software is generally comprehensive and serves to make one's computiongh experience worthwhile. I would recommend a normal pc though.... Read review
