Full review
I've owned one of these for 3 months now and its great, it really is. It runs all of my programs (mostly graphic/web design programs) effortlessly. Because its a mac it comes with the superb OSX panther and the iLife package as well as a whole other bundle of software and I love it.

Now the good points. OSX is awesome. Its normally hard to get through to a Windows user how much better it is (I own a PC running XP as-well) and it really is a lot lot easier to use. And i dont mean easy in a limited technophobe kind of way. It does everything Windows XP does and more, better. Oh and it hasnt crashed yet! How many of you PC owners can say that? And dont make excuses about compatibility. I run mine on a network with a PC running XP, a PC running Windows 2000 and an old PC running Red Hat Linux, and it all works perfectly. Nearly all programs you want on your PC you can buy for mac anyway...

Ohh and the programs. Apple applications are AWESOME. iPhoto organizes all of your photos in chronological order in a really really easy to use program that automatically uploads and controls the content on your digital camera. iTunes IS the worlds best MP3 player, take my word for it, I've tried them all. I've got all of the music in my house (about 1600 songs) on here at the moment and it automatically synchronizes it with my iPod, which IS the best portable MP3 player, take my word for that too...
iMovie is great. Film something, plug it in, upload it, edit the scenes at a few clicks of the mouse with cool effects and scene breaks. Then transfer it to iDVD, add some music from iTunes over the top and burn with the built in DVD burner, brilliant.
Theres more. Safari, apples Internet browser with its unique tab system is a great alternative to Internet Explorer (which also come with the package) and Mail, apples answer to Outlook express is just as good, if not better.

Do you like to make music? Apple computers come with Garage Band, an awesome music making application. Im not going to go into details because it will double the size of my review but check it out here: http://www.apple.com/uk/ilife/garageband/

There is so much more to OSX than i could possibly mention so if you are interested go and have a look because it is worth it http://www.apple.com

Now hardware. The processor is fast, fast enough to cope with anything I've thrown at it with ease, The RAM... hmm make sure you get at least 256mb with your package. It will make all the difference for a little extra cost (you wont need to upgrade if you opt for the superdrive option). Your mac will perform better with the more RAM you stuff into it.
Speakers are good although i dont use them much as I connect my mac to surround sound through my stereo. Graphics card runs UT2k4 perfect even though its relatively small (and that is a very graphically demanding game)

Now. The one thing that may put you off. The screen. Yea you can get 1280x960 out of it. But after 10 weeks of having my emac the screen started to get mysteriously dim, as if i had turned the brightness down. I sent my mac to sleep and woke it up and hey fixed. BUT. This now happens every time I turn the bloody thing on and its annoying me. To the extent where im taking it to my local dealer (not so local at 40 miles away). I searched the apple support forums and theres a few people who have had the same problem, so its obviously common. Apple recently updated the emacs and say they have fixed the problem, but who knows until someone has had it 10 weeks which nobody has yet. Id wait and see if I were you, or take my recommendation: Buy an imac!

Simple
Review of Apple eMac PPC G4 1 GHz - 17" CRT by  mf2spurs

Advantages: Good for Designers
Disadvantages: Not Many

...Ok ignore that the thing looks sexy. This is a super machine, everything that it comes with is easy to use and based around people who use technology for the 21st century. All you have to do is pretty much turn it on and thats you set. No pc installing rubbish. I have been using it for 4 years now to get me through my Graphics degree. It has helped me alot as all the photoshop software you put on it expects to be used with a mac. I say this as the only downful is when you get something sent to you thats meant to run on a CD-ROM for a pc so you can be let down by that. But this is also good for those who like making music which you can through the 'Garageband' package it comes with to get you started. It has it's own video editing suite which is helpful when putting on images from cameras to video cameras. You can make slide shows... Read review

Apple eMac G4
Review of Apple eMac PPC G4 1.25 GHz - 17" CRT by  HughesKitten

Advantages: Everything is in one place
Disadvantages: Very heavy!

...I bought my eMac nearly a year ago now and I am really pleased with it. I love the design, it looks really modern and the fact that everything is held within the monitor saves lots of space! The computer comes with lots of programs already installed, such as Tony Hawks 4 and AppleWorks. All the iLife programs on OSX Panther are really simple to use and look good. I primarily bought the Mac to use for music, movies and photos and although I have put all of my music collection, photos and various movies, it has barely made a dent in the 80Gb harddrive. The CD / DVD burning facility makes it really easy to make and burn. In fact it's almost idiot proof! I love it and I would definately recommend this to anybody.... Read review

A great computer but a bit bulky
Review of Apple eMac PPC G4 1.25 GHz - 17" CRT by  xx-rowan-xx

Advantages: Easy to use, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: Bulky and the screen gets greasy marks.

...discovered is that the glass CRT screen easily picks up greasy marks which need carefully cleaning off. It is also more bulky than other apple computers and so it is harder to fit on a desk, but there is no moniter as with all macs.... Read review
