If your not a fan of the apple mac then this will change your mind! A super computer that looks great and is easy to use!
The iMac is stylish and its compact all in one design means it take s up less space than a conventional pc that has an additional hard drive. A real styl statement that will draw house visitors to it with it sleek futuristic design.
Style isn't all this computer has to offer! It is easy to set up and comes complete with step by step real language instructions that even those of us who are not computer geniuses can understand and do with ease.
Wireless keyboard and mouse mean no unsightly wires or connectons either.
This computer is a fast operator. Downloads in a jiffy and has never given me any problems connecting to the internet either wirelessly or not.
Ease of use - completely!!! no more installing printer software or any other device the iMac recognises them instantly!
Built in iSight webcam gives more opportunities!
It has additional impressive features like the easy to use remote control which means it can double as "cd player and dvd player" too. Making it easy to access these features from across the room and connects seamlessly of course with the ipod!!!
Sound and picture quality are excellent. I no longer have any need for a seperate CD player or DVD player as the iMac does it all!!
Secptics will say mac's can't do what a Pc can!!! I disagree. I find the Mac so easy to use and more straight forward than any Pc i have had previously! And now too with the opportunity to run Windows in parallell to the Mac operationg system no-one had any excuse for passing this one up!
My advice without hesitation is BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!

The Apple IMac is a increadible piece of equiptment, and the speed of the processor is out of this world. If anyone is in doubt of choosing either this or a windows based PC, my personal preference would be the apple for the speed and reliability and also without all of the viruses too, and not to forget the stylish design, which makes it stand out and everyone wants one. It also runs without a sound and loading and shutting down times are amazing. ... ...for Mac Test Drive, iWork (30-day trial), Big Bang Board Games, Comic Life, Omni Outliner, and Apple Hardware Test

i don't know how people still buy this cheap design computer,
it does not have any advantage, design sux, performance sux, gaming (SUX). so it sux.

Advantages: Incredible Speed Disadvantages: Very few disadvantages for the casual/light work user
I've been running one of these systems for several months now and have not had any problems with the system. It's fast, reliable and stylish. I use this machine for work (Graphics/Video) and leisure (Net, DVD's) and find it handles everything I need it to with ease.
Set up is quick and easy as there are a minimum of wires etc to connect.
The screen is crisp and bright, the speakers clear and provide good bass. The mouse and Keyboard are nice and ... ...enough USB/Firewire ports for everyday use eg connecting external hardrives) One of the things that I've found to be useful is the tiny supplied remote- it makes the system easy to use as an entertainment centre as well as a work tool. It is nicely designed (very simple and straight forward) and has the added bonus of being magnetic and attaches to a small patch on the side of the monitor! Pretty cool!

Advantages: Compact, Stylish, Value for money Disadvantages: A little slow when opening up a number of programs at one go
Since my Toshiba M30 harddisk broke down, I decided to go for an iMac as i had been craving for one for ages!!!
As a first timer using Macs, I found the controls and mouse foreign BUT it was really easy to pick it up and I found that it was so easy to open a few programs, switch to multiple views and select which one you wanted to see. An easy example would be switching between 3 webpages where you can view all 3 pages and select the one that had ... ...a fair number of programs such as word, safaris and adium, it took awhile for loading.
Also, the graphic is not exactly fantastic for those art users or gamings although it is enough to view movies and meddle around. If speed is of great importance though, you can always just upgrade your ram as you buy the computer because there is only 1 ram slot.
For the value, I would say this is an all round Mac with the latest technology to suit most people ...
