Advantages Advantages Price, performance, design, OSX 10.5, Windows with Bootcamp, HTPC, remote controll

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited upgradability

I recently upgrade from a 1.5Ghz G4 stealth upgrade Mac Mini to the Core 2 Duo 1.83 Ghz mini and I am very impressed with the performance improvements. With Xbench the Core 2 Duo was approximately twice as fast as the G4 on many tests. The Mac Mini has a very small form factor 6.5"x6.5"x2" which makes it well suited as a Home Theater PC (HTPC) or for desktop use where space is at a premium. I primarily use the mini as an everyday computer with some HTPC use. The computer looks at home both on the desk and under a TV. The Mac Mini is an excellent entry level computer or an introduction to Macs ... more

Advantages Advantages Small and good value

Disadvantages Disadvantages not as powerful as most other Macs

I am using this right now. it is a really good product for those who are trying out OS X for the first time. I use it for typing up work and surfing the net, and the occasional DVD. Do not buy it if you want a gaming machine as with an Intel GMA 950 graphics card with 64 MB will not handle games, moreover this comes from the memory as it is integrated (to save space of course) it is very very small and good for a no frills first time Mac or for anyone who is sick of Vista and wants to give something else a try before going over to Linux (nothing wrong with it though). It may not come with a ... more

Advantages Advantages Very powerful processor, compact design, it is an APPLE

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No disadvantages

A cheap mac for everyone, which still maintains its powerful features. After I bought a mac mini, I never go back to other computers, This is so perfect for eveyone and I really tell you now. Once you go Mac you will never go back. Why? 1. It is very powerful - it gives you the power you wanted, because of its dual core processor. You can even use it as a server and still powerful. 2. Compact/Portable - you can carry it, put it anywhere 3. Connectivity - this computer really gives you the best connectivity just plug it and It adopts it, you don't need to search for drivers, because it knows ... more

Advantages Advantages Small but powerful, its a great starter apple,

Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited scope for upgrade,

My friends always said to me that I should get an apple computer, but stubbornly I always resisted as I thought I should stick to what I know. That was until I used an apple mac. This mini core duo is an inexpensive way to get onto the apple ladder, and you wont be disappointed. Straight out of the box, it looks very stylish and would compliment any home cinema or music system. For such a small unit, the apple packs quite a punch, with ports such as USB and ethernet, wi-fi and bluetooth, as well as a remote control, the apple wont leave you wanting. Whats more, one of the most positive things ... more

Advantages Advantages Size, plenty of processing power can be upgraded if needed

Disadvantages Disadvantages 802.11n still not implemented

If you\'re thinking about buying expensive home cinema system well...think again... Mac Mini has everything you need to build such a system yourself, plus it can play all audio-video formats... I\'m not talking about full HD 1080p, well for that you might need something more powerful than Mini, but for playing divX, Xvid or even x264 720p you won\'t find a better piece of \"machinery\"... One of the biggest advantages over standard home cinema systems is that you can stream all content from another PC/Mac or just use external HDD connected to your router/airport... It is not as hard to upgrade ... more
