everything, now there?s even more. More powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processors. And more memory standard. Combine this with Mac OS X Leopard and iLife ?08, and it?s more all-in-one than ever. iMac packs amazing performance into a stunningly slim space.
Mac Pro supports up to four 3Gb/s Serial ATA hard drives for up to 3TB of storage. The cable-free, direct-attach drive solution lets you install and remove drives in a snap. To install a drive, you connect a simple drive carrier to the hard drive, then just slide it into place - no cables or connectors to hassle with. Removing the drive is just as easy. Every Mac Pro ships with four hard drive carriers. This solution is perfect if you ever share drives among different workstations at home or the studio.
Advantages: This great machine offers many upgradable options and very easy to install Disadvantages: it is rather big and heavy to move around
...I moved to apple from PC 5years ago and have never looked back the hardware and software and technical help you receive is second to non. I upgraded from an IBOOK G3 to the powermac G4 mainly for the option to expand in hardware such as more ram, harddrive size and other extras like TV cards etc. for this reason alone very quickly and easily i was able to run a 2gb ram, 500gbharddrive G4 supercomputer with TV card too and for a fraction of the cost if i were to buy it all pre-installed. So this computer allows a complete novice to open up and add RAM, HD and PCI card upgrades easily, and for that alone it should win awards. But awards should also go to the overall design, look and feel of the machine and not just the tech speck. for this machine is not a boring magnolia or black box that you would want to hide away if it were a PC...

Advantages: Fast machine for its time, easy to maintain Disadvantages: Now replaced by the Mac Pro Intel machines
...the memory slots and drive bays is very easy - much easier than most Windows machines I've dealt with.
The machine has a full range of USB and Firewire connections both on rear and front panels. It comes with Gigabyte Ethernet Connectivity. You get a DVR-R writer and 160G SATA harddrive. The case is almost like a piece of sculptor! Internally you also have PCI-Express slots but there are very few suppliers of these cards for Apple machines.
Our machine has been running in an Art gallery supporting two different video installations for the last 5 months without any problems and we'll install Mac OSX Server on it to use as a web server in future.
So if Apple UK still has stock or they have some refurbished machines AND you still need a 64bit PPC machine, the Power Mac G5 Dual might be for you....

Advantages: Very fast, Very compatable tonnes of free software downloads online Disadvantages: costs
...I have had my Mac Book for 9 months now and have to say after making the switch from windows to Mac I will never look back.
The laptop itself on the outside is very pleasing to the eye however the black does show up greasy fingerprints. Inside it is full of high quality components you expect from an apple mac. 1gb of ram and the 160gbharddrive are more than ample to run mac os x leopard but for those who want more they are both user changable with full instructions and warranty coverage from apple.
The main wow factor for me is the 15seconds it takes to fully boot up!! For all the switchers out there ms office is available for mac too....

I bought this hard drive for £101 and it has been a pleasure to use. It's a doddle to set up and install and the fast rate of transfer makes file sharing very efficient and easy.
