(+) Sound quality, price, ease of use the list goes on. (-) Sony Walkman's need to have a wider support of accessories, both Sony branded and also third party
Advantages: Easy navigation, clear large screen, huge capacity, great looking, excellent value for money Disadvantages: iTunes a little annoying, dodgy earphones
**UPDATE** After having this iPod for 18 months now, I thought I'd update my review as parts of it are no longer true. This review was updated 22.07.09 :-)
** UPDATE** I'll have owned my iPodClassic for two years when December comes, so at the end of this review I'll give you an update on how it's running almost 24 months after it was first purchased.
I was hesitant about buying an iPod as my first, an iPod mini a few years ago, broke and never mended itself as
soon as I bought it. It was sent back and I've been using other (decent) players since. But iPods are so popular
I decided to give them another shot and, truthfully, am very pleased that I did.
After using a perfectly good Samsung YP-Z5A 4GB Mp3 player, I was bought the iPodClassic 80GB (in black) for
a Christmas present. Firstly, I would order it off the official ...
Advantages: Features and versatility Disadvantages: Headphone quality
This is a smashing little device for listening to music files or watching your video clips on the move. As always Apple's design is sleek, stylish and highly ergonomic. As far as battery life is concerned you should get about 30 hours if you're listening to music or 5 hours for video clips.
The iPod 80 GB comes with plenty of features. There are different categories into which you can place your music files. Cover-flow allows you to scroll through albums - you just click on one to play it. You can also access music according to the artist, composer, album, genre, songs, audio books you've purchased from iTunes or via your own play lists. There's also a simple search function to search for an individual track.
I really liked the video capacity of the player. There are categories for movies, TV shows, music and your own play lists ...
Advantages: YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIES AND COMPLETE ALBUM COLLECTION IN YOUR POCKET Disadvantages: SOUND LEVEL ON MOVIES NOT GREAT

I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available.
Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable.
Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements.
The Ipod has a great new feature ...
