Apple MacBook Air SuperDrive

This item is necessary if you have a Macbook Air and need a disc drive for any reason. I think that Apple tried to be too futuristic with this design, as I still find myself needing the CD drive from time to time especially to watch DVDs and download tracks off CDs into iTunes. However, if you watch films online via Netflix (limited selection) or download everything straight from iTunes etc, then I would imagine that this accessory is less necessary for you. GENERAL INFORMATION First of all it is only compatible with the Apple Macbook Air Notebook. (This is because the USB ports that Apple have used are designed to put out more power than is normally possibly, this is why the Superdrive has no need for a power supply of its own). This is a great product that does what it says on the tin. The read speed is very good and if you are using it with a Macbook air you will not need any extra software to write, read or play DVDs/CDs. In my opinion I think that the design is very nice and attractive although the product is slightly heavy. The reasons that I have given this product 4 stars instead of 5 are firstly the fact that this product will only work with the Macbook air.
