Hello everyone and welcome to this review. I bought this lovely laptop around 7 months ago. I bought it from Apple at the rather hefty price of £930! Ahhhh, allot I know but I still cannot decide if its been worth the money. When My lovely Apple Macbook dropped on the doormat I was over the moon. It was in a stunning white very classy looking box with a picture of my dream machine on the front:) Inside the box everything was extremely well wrapped, it was all in different sections. Inside was: The laptop A charger An ethernet cable And all of the instructions:) I couldn't help but notice the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great for Video Editing, music making, movie watching and general browsing. Great battery life!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Needs a program just like "paint". Mine started making strange noises after a year.

After using normal laptops that used the windows operating system for years and being bitterly disappointed by how quickly they got viruses--usually resulting in their deaths I decided to take the plunge and buy a mac. It was considerably more expensive than any laptop I had ever used before, for example a Dell, but I decided to take the risk as I had heard macs last much longer. At first it took me a little while to get used to the new system and I had a little frustration, trying to work it all out. Even working the mouse board is significantly different to standard laptops, but once I got ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast, robust, easy to use, extremely good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages not as many programs as windows

I've owned this laptop for a year and a half now and it is easily the most versatile, reliable and best looking laptop I have ever used. I would place most of the credit on the operating system- Mac OS X Leopard. After using Vista for a year on a £800 hp laptop, I was willing to accept anything to replace it. That was when I was introduced to the Mac, something I had never used before and consequently was extremely reluctant over- would my files be compatible? What about my music? Will my standard Netgear WiFi work with it? As many people say, once you go Mac, you'll never go back. With this ... more

Advantages Advantages no viruses, looks good, easy to use, Its an Apple

    Disadvantages Disadvantages NONE!

After owning a Powerbook G4 previously, I needed a replacement - I looked around and considered buying a Sony Vaio - but ended up back with Apple and purchased the MacBook Core 2 Duo with Intel processor. I went for the smallest one of the 3 - only because it was purely for home use. I only use it for surfing the internet, downloading pictures and music so I did not need to much memory. Plus I have an external hardrive should I need to free up space. The software you get with a Mac is excellent -everything is much more 'friendly' compared to Microsoft - OK, Vista has arrived - but when you ... more

I've had my Macbook for about 5 months now. My previous PC was a large self built gaming machine. I had been running Vista on the machine and was quite disappointed with the lack of progress on from Windows XP. I bought the Macbook after seeing a demo online. I was just blown away at how fast it is. In reality it has proven to be as fast as expected. Boot times are very quick. I can be surfing the net in roughly 30 seconds after powering up. Applications launch quickly and there is rarely any noticeable lag when performing various tasks. I can't fault the hardware. It's appearance is nice and ... more
