Recently i decided to purchase the new aluminium cased apple macbook. The price is quite high starting off around £900. I took a trip down to my local apple shop to find out a little more about the macbook, I got talking to a member of staff in store who told me a little more about the system i wanted to purchase and about discounts i could recieve. As i am a student i recieved my macbook with a 14% discount and also 3 years warranty for £50. When i got home i took it out of the box, the macbook has a strong aluminium casing which aids in keeping cool, the macbook is really cold to the touch when it has been off for hours which is quite a shock when it touches your skin. The macbook itself is really stylish with a thin screen with a built in webcam, the screen is really clear and has a glossy look to it. The builtin webcam has good quality and apple provides free software to use. The operating system itself runs really smoothly the laptop barely heats up underr casual use. Apple provides a selection of free applications to use with your mac which are fun and helpfull for everyone who wishes to use, they also provide free learning activities and such to help with the transition from windows to mac if you have never used a mac before and for all the people out there who wish to use windows applications which arent available under mac you can install windows on your mac with bootcamp, apple provides drivers and software to make it run smoother on your laptop. This is one area which apple clearly stands out in when i installed windows xp on bootcamp my macbook heated up more than it had doing anything under apple os x.

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors, dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
I have the previous version of this. with the plastic casing, and love it! Interesting that it runs so much hotter running XP than OS X - just another way that OS X is superior to Windows!
