Advantages Advantages Cool, light, long-lasting, high-performance, fast, etc... too many

Disadvantages Disadvantages not very many except maybe that the windows programs do not work on it

I was pretty reluctant to try a mac at first because, as a windows user, I had heard a lot of stories about incompatibility and how programs for mac can be annoying/ hard to find and other stuff. I even got to try it when my sister got one and really didn't like it since I was totally clueless about the interface. However, when I actually did get one, after a lot of encouragement from my brother, I was really satisfied. Firstly, the graphics are amazing. I heard that a mac is usually good for artsy people because of that but I only realised it when I experienced it myself. Pictures and films ... more

Advantages Advantages Light, fast, robust and great battery life.

Disadvantages Disadvantages More compatibility with windows games such as flight simulator.

For many years i was a windows user like everybody else, now that has changed. I was fortunate to be given a macbook pro as a gift, and i will never go back to windows. The newest of the macs are incredibly quick, when i turn on my mac it takes around 8 to 10 seconds, and around 5 seconds to shut down, its just unbelievable. The battery time is astonshing, you will only get 7 hours if you turn the brightness down low and limit the number of applications you are using, such as just using the internet, but even when i have full brightness and are using multiple applications such as the internet ... more

Advantages Advantages portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work

Disadvantages Disadvantages some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!

In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory. The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari. My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it! It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films ... more

Advantages Advantages Sleek tough desgin, quick fast easy to use, battery life, trackpad and keyboard, WiFI

Disadvantages Disadvantages cant think of any

Throughout uni i was always a PC desktop guy because i thought that laptops where a waste of space. In my final years of my design degree i bought a macbook pro core 2 duo 2.26 GHz 13.3" and i have never looked back. Upon purchasing i decided to up the ram to 4g which has had enormous repercussions allowing more things to be running at once and an overall better running speed. (start up time in under 45sec) The thing that i love the most about the new laptop is its track pad. with no fixed buttons to press for right or left click, its just one sleek surface. it takes about 1-3 days to get used ... more

Advantages Advantages Compact, easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Gets very hot when plugged in.

Mac or PC? Well, if you chose mac, then the MacbookPro is the computer for you - heck, even if you chose PC the Macbook Pro is the computer for you. This computer is easy to use, durable, fast, and portable; all of the essentials in a laptop, and more. At first, I was taken in by the macbooks appearance. It's thin, and small, but not too small. It's screen is wide and it's keyboard soft and easy to use. In addition to this, the mouse is revolutionary. Instead of having a button and then the mouse pad, it is combined on this computer. You may think it silly, but it actually makes things ... more
