...the operating system. Like all apple products it is easy to use. After switching to Mac from PC I was fully comfortable with how to use it within a few hours and didn't even need the instruction manual.

I have only found 2 programs that have crashed.
1 - Windows Live Messenger for Mac (which can be expected as Microsoft make it and it's for mac)
2 - Garageband ( I hope that Apple will address this issue very soon)

Well this notebook overall is brilliant. He hardware and the software so I shall divide this review between the two.

Hardware:

Firstly the macbook pro is incredibly thin and light. It looks brilliant with many small features that make it that much better. For example when the screen is activated the apple logo on the back of the screen illuminates. Also the iSight camera detects the brightness of the room you're in and the keyboard keys light up automatically.

The screen is made of actual glass which is unusual for laptops. above the screen is the hidden iSight camera with a concealed light indicating when it is on and off.

The mousepad is very big which makes all kind of tasks easier and more enjoyable overall. multitouch abilities enable you to perform many tasks like zooming, rotating and skipping web pages effortless.

For a laptop the speakers are very good. Sound, media and other standard controls can be accessed from the keyboard.

Software:

All new macbook pros come as standard with iLife 09 and Mac OS X. Mac OS X runs seamlessly. I have not yet suffered any crashes with the operating system. Like all apple products it is easy to use. In my opinion the hardware nearly seems to have been designed specifically for the software or vice versa. Everything just works.
One downside I did come across was that for video calling and using the application Photo Booth (Used for taking pictures/recording video using iSight) was that colour tones and effects such as black and white images are not available. You can only have a standard picture. However I found a very good software downloadable for the cost of around £5 called iGlasses and for the small price this solves all your problems from my point of view.

Despite it's size being 15.4" the portability of the product is outstanding. It is so light and thin that I can put it in my schoolbag along with files and books with no problem at all.

In my opinion this laptop is the laptop for everyone. It's portable, has an easy-use Operating system and it comes with all sorts of programs as standard.
Also the iWork software is available for about £50 which is very good for students.

Overall I consider this well worth buying.
