I bought this for all the amazing creative programs this has on. You can probably tell by my profile that I love music. So I decided to get this for the garageband program that is included.

First of all, this laptop looks great. When ever a family member or friend sees it they always comment on how nice it looks. It's the perfect size and is very easy to carry around the house.

I thought the screen size would be a bit small (being used to a 19" desktop screen), but it really wasn't. It's very easy to get used to. Recently I added another desktop so I have extended the length of it (sorry, it's quite hard to explain). But even without the extra length it's great.

Buying a Mac meant that I had to switch to using Mac OSX instead of Windows. It's really easy to navigate around and it seems to 'flow' a lot more than windows.

The programs that come with this are really amazing. Garageband is an amazing piece of kit. It's really professional and is like a simpler (maybe better) version of Cubase. I know that my Bass guitar teacher absolutely loves this program and favours it to others! I don't have much experience with Iphoto but the one thing I noticed it lacked was 'Paint' like features (This is also a feature that is missing from the mac as a whole!). Imovie HD is a great piece of kit. I use it to cut down videos. I have had a mess around with the video and audio effects you can add and they are all great!

One of my favourite features is the built in Isight camera. Photo booth is a great feature with loads of effects and makes pictures lots of fun. The Isight is also great for applications like Skype, the video runs really smoothly and there's also a microphone built in too.

The hard drive space on this is acceptable, although a little small for me because I have a fair amount of music and other large files. So I'm going to have to buy an External hard drive or replace the current one in my mac which I don't really want to do.

The power cable sometimes worries me, the actual pack which is about half way down the cable gets extremely hot when it's in for long periods of time. I'm sure this is perfectly normal but heat on electrical products is always pretty worrying. The bottom of the mac also gets quite hot, so it is probably best to have it on a flat surface so it can get some ventilation to the bottom.

Oh, there's something I remember about Iphoto, I was really impressed with this. On Iphoto you can get a set of photos you want in an album put them in a folder. Then with a click of a button you can order the pictures to be printed, organized and put in a real photo book. You get to choose exactly how the book looks and everything! My Bass teacher did this whole process and the results were phenomenal.

I was slightly disappointed that it was not compatible with normal desktop monitors. This is understandable because the connector would need to be pretty small anyway. I recently bought a converter for about £15 that lets me use any normal monitor.

Also, one problem I can never seem to get used to is the lack of .exe compatibility. No windows programs work on mac! I can't stand it. I guess I should have been expecting it as I was changing to a totally new operating system but I never thought it would be this annoying. There are ways around it though, sometimes there is a mac version of the same program and sometimes there are other programs similar to the one you were looking for but for mac instead... It's all just a google search away!

That's all I can think of for now! It's late, give me a break! :D

I wouldn't say no to one of these, but it wouldn't be my first choice, I'll stick with my HP Pavillion for now, very helpful review

Nice review. Just a small thing, the i lines are normally written iSight, iPhoto etc. To run windows applications on a Mac you can either look at virtualization (run Windows in a window on your Mac) or BootCamp (have both Windows and OSX installed on your Mac)

Apple MacBook Air (13.3 inch) Notebook Core i5 1.3GHz 4GB 256GB Solid State Drive WLAN BT Webcam Mac OSX Mountain Lion (Intel HD Graphics 5000)

The 13-inch MacBook Air now lasts up to 12 hours between charges. So from your morning ... more

coffee till your evening commute, you can work
unplugged. When it's time to kick back and relax,
you can get up to 10 hours of iTunes movie
playback on the 13-inch model. And with up to 30
days of standby time, you can go away for weeks
and pick up right where you left off. Whatever the
task, fourth-generation Intel Core processors with
Intel HD Graphics 5000 are up to it. From editing
photos to perfecting a presentation to just
browsing the web, everything moves ultrafast.
These new processors also help give MacBook Air
its extended battery life, thanks to a new
architecture that's designed to use less power.
With the latest 802.11ac technology, MacBook Air
takes Wi-Fi speeds over the top. Connect to an
802.11ac base station - including the new AirPort

to flash storage and the latest Intel Core

meaning there are no moving parts. Which makes it
reliable, durable, and quiet. And it takes up much
less space than a traditional hard drive - about
90 percent less, in fact. That creates room for
other important things, like a bigger battery. So

pixel-for-pixel accuracy. And text is so sharp,
you'll feel like you're reading email, web pages,

colour and quality. Its high contrast ratio
results in blacker blacks and whiter whites. And
everything in between is rich and vibrant. IPS

with ease. Play games with amazing detail. Even
connect an external display or two. It's just
another way this 13-inch MacBook Pro is small on
size and big on performance.The 13-inch MacBook
Pro now lasts up to 9 hours between charges.
That's impressive battery life for any notebook.
But for a high-performance notebook with an
ultra-high-resolution display, state-of-the-art
processors and graphics, and a superslim design,
it's absolutely remarkable. The built-in battery
gives you up to 1000 full charge and discharge
cycles and up to 30 days of instant-on standby
