I looked at all of them before buying. the 17" is very worthwhile - it's like having a cinema in your lap on the train, in bed, in the kitchen... it's more like an entertainment centre than a laptop. (I actually have the 15" too, I kept it and have it connected to my TV with wireless access for music and video control - nice. :)
PROBLEMS: 1. battery life is less than the 15 or 12" 2. screen is heavy so if tilted forward slightly in your lap the screen can slowly fall forward. 3. gets a bit hot if you leave it on the bed, without airflow (uncomfortably hot actually).
PRO's: 1. AIRPORT RANGE - is by far better than the 15" and the 12"... I can get at least another 25ft away from the airport with much better connection than the others. 2. DVD-R is very good and havent had any failures at all - burnt at least 25 discs in the past month or so. 3. CD-R also good (but i like my dvd's) 4. SCREEN SIZE - it really is worth while, a lot of friends say it's too big and its no longer a laptop, but I disagree completely. 5. KEYBOARD - backlight on the keys is superb and the new font on the keyboard is very nice - as usual from Apple. 6. AIRPORT - built in and working within minutes - it's as simple as selecting DCHP server in the airport settings, then wandering the streets until you pick up a network (you will be surpried by the amount of airport networks available) - pickup iStumbler and it will notify you when you are in someones range. 7. BLUETOOTH - brilliant, and sets everything up for you, just click on bluetooth in the menu bar.. search and it will find your phone automatically and ask if you want it set up - then bingo, your working. 8. IMPRESSIVABILITY - the people love it, any presentation you have to give needs to be given on the 17"... 9. OS - If you are not a mac user and concerned with changing, dont be.. OSX is awesome, i have used PC's in the past - i first changed to Mac during system 9 days (it was good then, but a bit of getting used to).. but now there isnt much difference - and it is much much much smoother sailing than any PC/Windows Operating system. 10. WATCHING MOVIES - very smooth, bright and impressive... I use - windows media player, quicktime, VLC, REAL ONE, MPLAYER - depending on the format, they all work fine without a hitch. 11. AUDIO - by far better speakers than the others... nice enough to watch movies on (but i have a surround setup anyway, because im very fussy with my movies) 12. APP's - I run Photoshop, After Effects, Freehand, Illustrator, Flash, Lightwave, Office, Filemaker, Dreamweaver, Director, In-Design and a few audio packages etc without any hitches. 13. INPUT's / OUTPUTS - has everything i need to easily hook up to external presentation gear (need to carry the adapter with you - it comes with the mac).. easy to hook up to TV, new firewire for even faster transfers... all the ports are left and right which is a little annoying when you have them full... but they have been taken of the back to make room for the monitor.. so thats fine.
I hope the review helps you to make your descision... otherwise just buy one anyway because they look so damn cool!!. :)

Sorry for low rating. Everything is right here except presentation. Collate data into fewer sections. Stay Cool and Look After Yourself
