As with all Apple products, the PowerBook G4 range of laptops are stylish and sexy and never look out of place in a film or advert. The three different monitor sizes available (12", 15" and 17") seem to provide a nice range covering those who want something ultra portable up to those who want a big screen with the usual laptop advantages. However, in my opinion the 17" doesn't really have a proper use as a computer. By this I mean that the noticeable difference in viewing area between the 15" and 17" model isn't a great deal and only really stands out when you compare the two side by side. For me, the extra bulk that comes with the 17", which makes carrying it around a bit of a task, isn't worth the extra viewing area.
Size issues aside there can be no real complaints about performace. With the capacity to upgrade and with its existing specs it will handle many intensive computing applications. And as much as I curse it for not getting the 15" model when I'm carrying it around, I equally love it when Im watching a widescreen film from the comfort of where ever I have carted it to!
So unless you require a large screen for carrying out space filling processes such as image manipulation or graphic design, then I would strongly recommend you save a few pound and opt for the 15" model.
Another slight issue I have with the PowerBooksin general, is the location of the USB and power ports. They are all at the sides. It would be nice to have at least one at the back so that wires dont have to trail around the side of the laptop. Having said this, however, the built in bluetooh reduce the amount of wires anyway!
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors, dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
I agree with Museness below, does lack information. Your trying to help people make an informed purchasing decision and your op doesn't quite get there. Never mind a good first attempt and we all have to start somewhere! Good luck, Chris.

Hey, and welcome to Ciao. A great first review. Many people however may feel that this lacks abit of information, and so you may want to add abit more to get the higher ratings! However, I thought this was a great first attempt, well done. If you have any questions feel free to ask! Keep smiling, Alastair :o)
