As with every Apple Mac on the planet, the G4 Cube looks 'the dogs dangly bits'. In other words- It looks BEAUTIFUL. You cannot beat the Cube when it comes to beauty, because it simply p*sses all over its opponents. It's compact, sexy and is still kitted with a satisfactory PowerPC G4 proccessor which is more than fast enough for every day tasks such as e-mail, web browsing and playing the latest computer games. Although the Cube has been out for some time now, you can upgrade basically everything in the Cube... Like the graphics card, the memory, the hard drive, etc. SO you can go from the normal 400 mHz G4 that you get as standard, to a gob smacking 1.25 gHz... Which is much, much, much, much more than the average computer-user needs. Overall, the Cube is great. I love it, and I think future users of the wonder-machine will too. I would reccomend it to experienced Mac users rather than 'newbies', the reason being that you can only pick up second hand models nowadays and upgrading the machine can be pricey.
...It may be fast, but it is poor. The price of one of these things is unbelievably high. The quality of the software that can be bought for it is ok, but the amount of software that can be bought is low. The time that it takes to search for a piece of software for an Apple is terribly high. I cannot stand the thought of having an Apple computer anywhere near me. I am sickened by all things Apple. Admittedly without apple, the computer industry would not be as advanced as it is now, but I am now certain that we could easily survive without this terrible computer.

Advantages: fast,good GUI Disadvantages: expensive, less software to support
...I have to admit that G4 is too much expensive for me, though I still want if for I tired of the windows's ugly GUI. And I tired of the frequently crash of windows. The windows is not stable enough, and the speed is not satisfactory either.
I think it's pretty good for professional designer, who demands high quality image, faster speed. For those people, apple is their only choice. If they use PC, the color will not be displayed correctly. I will bring trouble for publishing.
The apple's GUI and the apperance design are all far more better then other operation system and other desktop computer. It can be called a art, not a commercial product.
So, on average, Apple is farely good for its price....

This computer is incredibly small. From first hand experience, however, this computer is, in may ways, Lamb dressed as mutton. The sacrifice, as always, with small, is less functionality. There are NO, repeat NO PCI slots in the computer. PCI is the industry standard for any extras (Suchas cards extra USB slots Sound cards etc.) If you want to use one, you in fact have to take the modem out, and replace it with the PCI, therefore losing the internet. It is extremely unhelpful , if like me, you have more than one or two USB peripherals and also a couple of SCSI ones as welll (which are not compatible with the new applm range without an addd on PCI card.) So, I in fact replaced the Cube thereafter with a far more powerful, and CI equipped G4...
