Advantages: Cheap, Runs OS X, Looks nice Disadvantages: Noisy, Not That Fast
Apple are the best makers of computers and OS but if like me you dont have much money then the G4 is probably the one to go for, as it has all the greatness of apple mac at a much lower price.
I got my G4 off of ebay for a very reasonable price about 5-6 months ago and it was a great change from my old dell PC which was painfuly slow and overloaded.
External Issues:
The G4 Quicksilver is a very sexy and nice looking tower computer although some ... ...it look sleek and proffesional, also some people dont like the fact that it is finished in plastic but i think this mackes it look nice and shiny. The clear handles are another nice effect as they distort any thing on the other side of them. One of the bad things about the G4 is that it is by no means silent and if you keep the original hard drive that realy dosnt help the noise issue, music can easily cover te noise but i wouldnt reckomend it for ...

I personally have all ppc g4's in my house and the 775 MHz is so faster its like 1.25Ghz. Also these macs never loose any of there value and you can resell the mac if you wish not to keep it in the future. The macs design is unlike any other PC on the market i have seen. Apple compared the Power Mac G4 to a 3GHz Pentium 4-based PC, using nine commonly used actions and filters that stress overall system performance - including processor, memory, system bus and hard drive - in Photoshop. The result? The dual 1.42GHz Power Mac G4 is 32 percent faster than the fastest PC on the market with a 3GHz Pentium 4 processor. Fact is, even the dual processor 1.25GHz Power Mac G4 system outperform the Pentium 4 by 23 percent. How, you might ask, can even the Power Mac G4 outperform a PC with a Pentium 4 processor running at more than twice the megahertz? It's further proof that megahertz alone is a poor indicator of real-world system performance, particularly when comparing different overall system architectures. You do the math.
