Apple CD-ROM Drive

Advantages: great for graphics
Disadvantages: need to buy extra sofwears

...Firstly This is a great pc to own, I paid £900 for this Apple I mac and this is with all the extras for exampe, 3 years protection, apple works, apple email and other features program,wireless keyboard , wireless mouse. There reason it was so cheap for me is because if you are a student you get nearly £300 discount . this a tip from me to you all , even if you take a friend or family who is a student you still get the discount. Now lets talk about the IMAC woo hoo It has a 20 inch screen but also comes in 24 inch screen too , trust me not allot diferance. the most amazing thing is the hard drive is inside the screen , so you dont have a separet bulky harddrive to store. Everything is in the screen the cd rom is on top right hand corner and its very hard to fiynd it it took me two days to figure out where to stick the CD heheh. you... Read review

Advantages: Great look and design

...The macbook air, is not the most pracitcal of laptops. Afterall, it doesnt even have a disc drive! However, opinions can be of two styles, a visual style, or a practical style. I for one prefer visual styles of practicality, but can definately see some key flaws in this product. Let's start with the disadvantages: NO CD DRIVE The cd drive was removed from this laptop, simply to make the macbook air as thin as possibe. Apple chose "looks" over "personality" in this case. and i think they made a huge mistake. Most of the applications connecting computers with our daily lives, require cd roms. of course apple suggest that you buy an addition cd drive which plugs into one of the usb ports. but this is just a hassle, and seems uneccesary to start buying extra necessities for an already expensive product. Advantages: Very Sturdy, Drive Bays, still powerful enough
Disadvantages: Old Model, PowerBook G4 is lighter

...outdated, but it will run almost any 3D game - can you say that for all the other laptops its age? RAM can be maxed out at 1Gb, and it came with a DVD Rom as standard. The ports are also useful, supporting USB, Firewire (Sony calls it iLink), Monitor Spanning, TV out, Ethernet (10/100), Modem and IR. The machine also uses a great drive bay, into which you can put thinkgs such as Zip drives, and CD writers (a feature lacking on the more slimline G4) The best part of the laptop has to be the OS. The Mac OS is simpler, more stable and user-orientated than any version of Windows could ever hope to be. Go on, get the best!... Read review
