Advantages: Light, strong and hardly ever crashes Disadvantages: Fairly high price to pay
...The latest iBook from Apple opens a new chapter on portable convenience and performance. I bought this new iBook as I needed something reliable, small and light which I could travel with and use on the go. The iBook is perfect, almost 2lbs lighter than the previous version it contains a powerful G3 processer, allowing more programs to run at the same time. New features enable you to burn your own CDs, watch DVDs on the go and it only takes 10 minutes to get the Internet up and running. Encased in a durable polycarbonate construction, Apple have even included an inner Magnesium case so the iBook can withstand the everyday pressures or normal life.
Although the iBook will set you back a fairly high price, its worth every penny as its your long term, compact travelling companion in a world of boundless possibilities.
Way to go Apple....

Advantages: Has all functions you need Disadvantages: Expensive
...The Apple Mac ibook is my first ever portable laptop but miniture! The range of these is extensive with a range of different colours and extras that you can add onto. Although you can find note books for cheaper it is worth paying for the quality name and product from Apple. The sound is excellent- which has helped from a new contract with a German speaker manufacturer which is much better than the old speakers.
I tested many note books when looking and this was the most superior!
The machine has all the functions you would expect like word writing programs etc. It looks very fashionable and no one will know when you turn it on as it is very quiet.
Have a look at one today!...

Advantages: much faster than pc, operating system is beter than windows and your internet experience will be far superior. Disadvantages: none what so ever
...ok so from my opinion these computers rock! You can get them in various colours (tangerine being my fave) and they simply are the best computers around.
I recently (about 3 months ago) bought and i-book and i have had not one hitch at all. It has not crashed, it has not had one error and its operating system (OS.9)is just so much better than windows.
You can also, if you need, buy programs from outlets such as dixons, currys, etc, which allow you to run programs on the i-book or apple mac which normally can only run under the windows operating system - which means you no-longer have an excuse not to buy and applei-book.
They also run much faster and if you're a net-head, make the internet a much more enjoyable experience. I advise you to buy one - it will be the best computer you will ever have....

Reading a Book is not usually my favorite pass time, but when I was brought the Steve Wozniaks biography 'I Woz' I could not put it down.
On first impressions I thought the book would be all about how he invented the 'APPLE-1' noteably the first ever more
