(+) Looks good. Battery life around 4 hours. Keeps your legs warm on cold days! (-) Audio crackle. Gets too hot. Screen viewing angle restrictive. Slow to start.
While the Graphite isn't technically a new color for the iBook, note the new snow accents on all of the new models. Except this snow is polished smooth and glossy - almost like it's dripping wet. A minor detail? Perhaps. But it's part of the sensory experience of using an iBook. The iBook Special Edition has a built-in feature designed to help make it the life of the party, and that's DVD. So you and your friends can slip the latest DVD title into the DVD-ROM drive and watch it on a brilliant display - or on your TV. Looking for Pentium-crushing speed? You've found it with the iBook Special Edition Graphite. In performance tests running processor-intensive applications like Macromedia Director and Adobe Photoshop, the new iBook soundly whipped the competition.

...IBookSpecialEdition
The look of the Ibook is shiny smoother and smart. There are three colours in the range which are lime, indigo and graphite. The Ibook is available with two different processor speeds: you can choose between a 366Mhz Ibook or you can opt for the more powerfull 466Mhz which features a DVD rom. Also they both feature firewire ports and Imovie 2 software make editing home movies easy. The composite video-out port will allow you to output to home made creations to a TV or VCR.
The rest of the line up isn’t as impressive. It 466MhzG3 processor can’t compete with the latest mobile offering from Intel, and its 64mb of Ram isn’t the largest about available. As with all Apple products, the Ibook runs the Mac operating system, so windows and windows apps will not run...

Advantages: Cool shape, easy to use, fast and powerful Disadvantages: Only aviable in two colors, green and grey
...The new iBook. Its fun, fast and exactly what I needed for a day on the road. Empowered with startling processor speeds of up to 466 megahertz, no job is too small for this gorgeous piece of technology from the guys at Apple. Arriving promptly in its box, I was surprised by how quickly and easily I could setup and begin working on the iBook. Faster than most Windows operating systems, I found the navigation simple yet effective. When I first decided upon a colour (the iBook comes in a choice of 'flavors'), I was slightly disappointed by the range available. The SpecialEdition comes in a 'Kermit' the frog green or Grey (yawn), so to add a little interest, I chose the green. Apple could improve by adding more colors to the range, I'm sure a 'Ruby Red' would attract far more interest.
The best thing about the SpecialEdition is the DVD...

Advantages: Light, strong and hardly ever crashes Disadvantages: Fairly high price to pay
...The latest iBook from Apple opens a new chapter on portable convenience and performance. I bought this new iBook as I needed something reliable, small and light which I could travel with and use on the go. The iBook is perfect, almost 2lbs lighter than the previous version it contains a powerful G3 processer, allowing more programs to run at the same time. New features enable you to burn your own CDs, watch DVDs on the go and it only takes 10 minutes to get the Internet up and running. Encased in a durable polycarbonate construction, Apple have even included an inner Magnesium case so the iBook can withstand the everyday pressures or normal life.
Although the iBook will set you back a fairly high price, its worth every penny as its your long term, compact travelling companion in a world of boundless possibilities.
Way to go Apple....
