...Duration of ownership:2 Weeks
Strengths: Sleek and beautiful design, simple and elegant operating system, wireless keyboard and mouse
Weaknesses: Power/Sleep light missing
Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Everything worked perfectly right out of the box without checking the manual. Considering what is included on this iMac, it is an impressive array of features. About the only peripheral you need to add is a printer! You sure get a lot of features for the money.Price is always a concern, especially compared to PCs. With this model, they have added more "bells and whistles" and not raising the price.Apple has finally gotten its act together by redesigning the popular iMac....

Advantages: Small, Fast and compact! Disadvantages: Hard to get used to, Lack of Microsoft, Lack of right click mouse click
...Although a powerful tool, The AppleiMac lacks that certain pinash and accessibility given by Windows and other Microsoft software. Windows software can be obtained, at additional cost, and used via a emulator.
A great machine for those who professionally media, however i question its practiblity in the house hold for those who are used to the \"normal\" Windows and PC layout.
The Core2Duo offers great speed and processing power.
Prices vary for this iMac, although i do recommend buying an older model second hand if you are new to the Apple empire.
Hate it or love it, there is no denying the Mac is a powerful macine, Yet its full practicality can only be used by those in a few trades.
The lack of a right-click mouse button is one instance of confusing attributes....

Advantages: Intel-chips, 20" LCD display Disadvantages: RAM still expensive
...This is my 4th Mac dating back to the old LCs. And it is a great product, easy to use, priced appropriately though will come down more as faster versions appear.
1GB RAM is the minimum; I run audio and video productions and will upgrade to 2 (or the max of 3) when the RAM price comes down, (hopefully sometime in the near future).
If you're a MacAddict, you already know what you're getting; if you're from the "dark side" so to speak, give it a try; you'll like it - oh yeah, with the "Parallels" software it can run Windows too what can be very usefull for certain applications...(but why would you want to really do that?)
Thanks for reading....

There are those that do, and those that don't. There are those that could but won't. There are those that won't to but can't. And, there are those that don't know any different! It really doesn't matter which group you are in, the recently updated Apple... more
well what can i say, you get this connector free when you buy your ipod or you can buy it seperately for between £5 and £10. Obviously it can be very useful and very handy because it can be used to transfer songs, images and videos from computer to... more
