I have had my Imac for 5 months now. I bought it from the Apple store in London, where I must say the customer service is amazing and the staff had an answer to all my questions! Before this Imac I had an Ibook G4 which was the best thing since sliced bread, thats what made me want one of these. The IMac is all an all in one computer, all the bits are in the screen with only the keyboard and mouse separate. This makes it great for people with not so much space. This computer is very stylish and gets positive comments from people whenever they come round, the whole unit is a sort of brushed aluminum colour and my favorite bit is the small brushed aluminum keyboard, which has nice sized buttons and a nice feel to it (ie not big and chunky keys) The IMac loads up in no time, unlike a Windows machine and within less than say 30 seconds you are ready to go. The screen is Massive, bright and very clear, and the graphics can easily handle online TV and gaming, I use mine to play World of Warcraft and it is never jerky. Built into the screen is a webcam which is really good, I use Skype to talk to family and friends and our cam feed is always much superior to theirs. You can also video yourself and it comes with editing software but im not quite sure how all that works.
One of the main reasons I bought an IMac was because I was so impressed with the connectivity of my Ibook. It came with Bluetooth and Wifi, the same as this. The Bluetooth on this machine is just as easy to use with my Nokia and the bluetooth file manager is easy to use and fast. The Wifi on the other-hand has let me down slightly. Occasionally when I first turn my IMac on it doesn't instantly find my router. My Ibook never ever had this problem. Also some times when surfing the internet the Wifi drops out, this could be a problem with my router and ISP but im not sure.
THe IMac comes with apples own word processing and spreadsheet software, Itunes, Iphoto, Garageband and various other packages so its just as cabaple as a windows machine for everyday use. I did purchase Office for Mac though so I could be doubly sure of compatibility issues. Iphoto is a great package for storing your photos and its easy to sort them out too, this is probably the package I use the most, after the internet.
The sound from the IMac is really good quality to and its easy to adjust with the buttons on the keyboard.
Setting up the computer is easy too, just USB connections for the keyboard and mouse and its easy to transfer any of your old software from a previous Mac when you first turn it on with Target Disc!
It can be a pain getting compatible software for the Mac but more and more developers are making it it now so its not as much of an issue as previously. Also some TV streaming websites aren't compatible with the Mac but this is also being sorted now, I used mine to watch the BBC Iplayer last week.
Hope this has been helpful, Once you go Mac you never go back!
Advantages: Fantastic OS, easy to use, fast and efficient, miniscule threat of viruses Disadvantages: Overpriced in terms of hardware, not as much software available compared to Windows
...in this aspect.
Pricewise, Apple are always keen to exploit the market slightly. In my case, I had a lot of money which had been lying around for a long time so I decided to put it to good use. I am not your crazy PC gamer who relies on extremely fast processors, and amazing graphics card and a huge hard drive. What this Mac delivers is enough for casual use and running large programs. Although it may be slightly over priced in terms of specs compared ...

Advantages: Reliable, fast processing, stylish, easy to use Disadvantages: Could do with a couple more USB ports
This in my opinion, has to be one of the best purchases one could ever make. Upon getting my iMac, I have and never will go back to using a PC! The iMac is so fast and efficient, and so easy to use. Graphically it makes sense, and things are ordered logically, and it is very easy to find files and folders. The 20" screen size is plenty big enough, and I have purchased a TubeStick to watch TV on my Mac. It is just like having a smaller flat screen ... ...is sleek and looks great. The thin keyboard is ultra trendy! In terms of installing and uninstalling software, I have found it to be a piece of cake. Again, everything is logical and if you don't like something, just sling it in the trash can! I have never had any problems in terms of it crashing, or not working from first boot. It is incredibly reliable and fast. I upgraded to 2GB of RAM, and I understand that the boxed product comes with 1GB, I ...

Overall Evaluation:I have used Macs (5th one) since mid-90s and have always appreciated their design and OS strengths. Overall, this is an great computer. Advantages: Excellent design, Amazing screen, Very powerful, Very convenient Disadvantages: Only 3 USB ports
...will no that I love apple products, and own a few of them. I got this iMac a few years back now, pretty much when it first came out, and I am still using it today, I'm writing this review on it in fact. This computer has really stood the test of time, and still plays the new games with ease. The 20" hi-res screen makes game play and movie watching a treat, everything is clear and visible. Reading internet pages is no strain on the eyes either. The ... ...is conveniently placed underneath the apple logo on the front. But there's more, above the screen there's a very small webcam, which is barely visible, but performs great. Above this (on the top of the computer) is a mic the size of a pin head, which is very powerful and comes in a great deal of use. In conclusion this is an amazing piece of kit, and I highly recommend it, the only downside is the fact that there are only 3 USB ports on it, this ...

There are 5 usb points and even a remote control so u can watch dvds and turn up the sound without getting out of bed! ...
