Apple iMac - Core 2 Duo 3.06 GHz - Monitor : LCD 21.5"

PC or Mac? Difficult choice but my great preference has always been for PC. I love them. Started with a 120Mhz pentium on a 1.5Gb HDD running Windows 95. Since then have had every incarnation of Windows (some good and some bad) and find that the basic OS is easy to get into 'nuts and bolts' for tweaking performance. Typically early PC's were horrendous beige boxes which didn't really change in the mainstream until people started to modify their PC's or upgraded components for gaming purposes. This mac is one of the most quick computers that anyone could ever have and has so much power that you can run over 15 applications at a time with it still being silent. And of course if you get the brilliant magic mouse and keyboard this happens to be the most pretty computer ever. If you need to read windows documents this is perfect as it does it all for you. It also only has one lead coming out the back and has wireless and blue-tooth. Set up is so easy and apple are very helpful if you talk to them. Nice screen size... bigger than your average PC. Very user friendly, plug it in, and away you go. ‘Spaces’ is very useful, especially when you are working on multiple documents, and need to flick back and too quickly. Plenty of USB ports, which allow for multiple accessories - unless you use the Apple wireless mouse and keyboard, which are great, but do run through batteries very quickly. A while back I purchased an iMac 21.5 inch from our local Apple store. I was excited when I got back home to open the rather heavy box. The one thing I can say is that the iMac was extremly well packaged in it's foam. The screen had a large foam/cloth like cover protecting it and the mouse was in it's own little pouch. I was very happy to see Apple had put a lot of effort into just designing the packaging.
