After owning PC’s all my life, i finally took the plunge and decided to go for a Mac. And i am SO pleased i did!!! i don’t think i will ever go back to PC’s after owning one of these... they are just fantastic in every way! from their sleek, smart design, through to the intelligent apps....
As a keen photographer, i was very pleased to find an in built SD card slot.. so no more wired card readers! Just like the wireless Bluetooth mouse and keyboard!, which also add up the greatness of this machine!
Also it is so tidy, no wires at all thanks to the built in WiFi, and wireless devices, i don’t think there is any other all in one machine anywhere that even comes close to the quality of this Mac! It was very nice opening the box, and not having to connect millions of wires to unknown places! just one simple power cord, and you are away!
I find its speed and picture quality amazing, unlike any screen i have ever seen!!
It doesn't get hot, even after being on for over 10 hours a day, and never sounds like its about to explode.... unlike some PC’s i’ve known in my time......
As far as the audio goes, it has built in stereo speakers, and a built in microphone - which comes in useful for garageband!
It has 4 usb slots at the back, along with an audio outlet, an audio line in, a fire wire port, ethernet port, and thunderbolt port. The extra usb ports will come in handy, as the apple wireless keyboard - unlike other mac keyboards, lacks any USB ports.
The OS x Snow leopard software is very entertaining! as well as useful. Iphoto allows you to upload photos directly from a SD card, and upload to Facebook in seconds... gone are the times where i would spend hours uploading 3 pics.... as well as iphoto, included are - itunes, ical, DVD player, Photo booth, Front row, Time machine, Spaces, Safari and more....
Its built in bluetooth also comes in handy, for receiving pictures and files from mobile phones etc.
As for the price, i felt a lot more comfortable spending £1300 on a mac than i did on a PC, don;t know why... it just felt as if i was actually getting a decent product for my money..... :)
