I have had my iMac for a year. With a dual core processor, this is one the fastest computers on the market. While I haven't put Windows parallels on it yet, I have heard from friends and family that it does very well with the parallels and doesn't freeze. I've been a PC user all my life, but back in 1999 a friend bought an iMacDV and asked me to go over to his place to configure internet access for him.
So I did and here is my experience, even if limited to 2 sessions working on Mac OS8.6
Well, I did my bit. It took us a while to understand that to create an internet access you must set up a script for remote access, or he won't be able to connect if the server on the other end is WinNT. We experience problems with the line dropping every 40 seconds after connection till we configured the script and after that the connection was satisfactory.
For protocols PPP, TCP/IP, DNS, it works like on a normal PC.

My mac mini had OSX Panther installed and now I have OSX Tiger which has so many little improvements over Panther such as Dashboard - I have my calculator, google mail checker, webcam viewer and other little bits and bobs which all pop up as soon as I press F12. Great touch.
