"The most powerful iPad yet!"

I am a huge Apple fan, I have had and currently have so many products and added an iPad Pro to my collection to replace my 4th gen iPad ready for iOs 11 being released in September.

Since the iPad Pro has been released by Apple they have changed the sizes that are available for the Tablet they claim to be as powerful as a PC. When upgrading in the past month I opted for the 10.5" as the 12.9" just felt too big for a tablet, it wouldn't have been comfortable to use compared to the smaller version. Which I must add is bigger than the current "normal" iPad. With an iPad you have many different options now, including colour and then the price depends on the size and whether you opt for it to be WiFi only or have cellular as well. Cellular means that you can buy a Sim card and pay for it like your mobile phone. I opted for just the WiFi version, as you will see the price is quite a big difference. The reason I do is that because most places have free WiFi now and if all else fails you can tether the data from your phone by setting up a personal hotspot.

Colours

The iPad Pro comes in four different colour options, which are all the same price. You can choose from the following:
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Space Grey
  • Rose Gold

I guess it doesn't really make a huge difference though considering you will probably end up covering the back with a nice cover anyway! I opted for Silver just because I have always picked that colour for my Apple products.

The Good

  • Very sleek
  • Impressive look
  • Very Light
  • Big screen
  • Finger Print to unlock
  • Very reactive to touch
  • Great for playing games

The Bad

  • Expensive
  • Additional purchases: Apple Pencil (£99) and Apple Smart Keyboard (£159).

The Ugly

* Nothing at all ugly about this incredible piece of equipment! I mentioned a bad point above about the Apple Pencil, which only works with an iPad Pro as the price for one is £99. But we have been told that with iOS 11 we will be able to do even more with it.

The Apple Smart Keyboard which is also a lovely cover for the iPad Pro is another cost £159, but it really is comfortable and fantastic to type with.

User Friendly

It is very straightforward to use, the "App" store in blue is where you can download everything and well anything you would like. I am sure Facebook is the most popular one along with Twitter. It gives you the option to have a list of free apps (which might have options to buy once you download it). This is a great way to build up more options on your iPad. I personally have apps for work which include coaching session plans that you can make yourself. The touch is very impressive, even better than the regular iPad and this helps you use it in a fast and efficient way.

Layout

it is simple and straightforward with the basic apps already on, you have Keynote, Pages and Numbers which can now all be saved to convert in Powerpoint, Word and Excel if you need to transfer anything across for Windows users. You can change everything around as well by holding your finger down on any of the apps, which allows them all to shake and you can delete by pressing the small x on them, move and swap them round or place them on top of another to create a folder. If you don't do this and have a lot of apps you will have many pages to scroll across to find what you want.

Apps

Constant updates to improve the experience of using them especially when a new software update happens, don't worry though as the iPad will prompt you to update. I also think its great for Netflix as you can now download films to watch offline, another reason to just opt for the WiFi version. When searching for Apps if you know what it is called you can just type it in, if you would just like to browse it is all set up by different genres, games have even more to choose from.

Music

Two options for this feature now including iTunes so anything you have previously bought with your Apple ID can be downloaded straight onto the iPad. You also have the option to pay monthly for Apple Music, which is a streaming service for everything they have to offer so if you think you are going to buy a lot of music that would be a great option. This is then all sorted by Artist, Album, Songs and you can create your own playlists.

iCloud

With your Apple ID you can save everything to iCloud Drive and this allows you to sync with other devices, I find this very useful from my iMac and iPhone to continue working on a document from one device to the other. It also provides you with a back up of everything, which is probably the best for you photos. You are able to link it up with your phone and send them across to yourself in a matter of seconds. Not forgetting that you can send and receive everything over AirDrop as long as you are connected to WiFi.

Apple Store

If you are struggling to set up your iPad or not entirely sure on all of the features you can create a free appointment at an Apple Store near you and one of the people who work there will take you through the different features. It also provides support if something goes wrong with your product as well, something which I think is just fantastic. I have had a few problems with my iPhone in the past and they have quickly sorted it out and that means I have had a new Phone on a few occasions without having to pay anything! So keep that in mind if you think something just isn't right with your iPad.

Overall, it really is a great product and while the price might be high all Apple products retain value well over the years. Plus with the amount of Apple shops in different cities it makes it very simple if you ever have an issue or if you would even like to know more things you can do with your product.
