...mind I've always thought of Apple in this way. They just seem too nicey - nicey, a bit soft and smiley for my liking and I've always had this uneasy feeling that, just like in the Simpsons, they are hatching their evil plans of world domination.
I'd just like to clarify for Apple's lawyers that I'm not suggesting they are busy building secret nuclear weapons, but instead bolstering their dominant position in the world of portable gadgetry, through ... ...have never owned a single Apple product in my life, so I'm not quite sure while I needed to purchase the latest must-have product; the Apple iPhone 3G.

I have had the Apple Iphone 3G since its UK launch date. I was really excited to get one as the launch of the standard Iphone back in November had really got me a taste for all things Apple. There is so much to say about this device that I do not know where to begin. First of all it is much better value for money. The standard Iphone set me back £269 where as this one was free. O2 let me upgrade to it for free as well, so I cannot fault the network ... ...The phone itself does everything that you could want from a phone and so much more. The best feature is the wifi connection - I go to coffee houses a lot and they all supply the Cloud wifi, this is unlimted and free as part of the contract so I get to surf broadband for free when I am out and about!
The best thing about this device is its interface. The truth be told, it does not do one thing (besides mp3, but you would expect that from the makers ...

What makes it so different?
Well the answer to that question is - many things :
*The iPhone is a portable telephone, internet browser, Global Positioning System (GPS), video/music player, and a 2MP camera - all of which are in one product that sits snugly in the palm of your hand. The iphone 3G is not much of an upgrade... the only real difference is some asthetic features and the fact you get GPS and 3G.
After using the iphone for a few weeks, i must say i love it. I was a little apprehensive at first about the whole GPS thing, but i can honestly say that is possibly the best GPS i have ever used.
And as for the 3G.... well.... its brilliant, i have also found that even when not in an EDGE or 3G connection it seems to load ... ...know why this is... but it is certainly impressive!!
Although there is absolutely no difference in the software between the two devices, the iPhone 3G's GPS certainly boosts the applications by using your exact location. And its 3G just accelerates all those web-based apps and makes the whole thing even better.
The only thing that let me down, was that due to apples price cuts, they took out the dock - which means you have to go out and buy a dock ...

Apps are the main product saver for this phone for me... they (just about) add all of the things Apple left out of the otherwise great device. It looks great too although a bit fragile I would hate to think what would happen if I dropped it!
Main drawback to the phone is battery life... very very poor indeed unless you disable everything that makes the phone worth having expect to have to charge up nightly (sometimes twice a day for me)
