It seemed adequate enough when I was first using it, as long as the cable works and it's not too slow there aren't many complaints you can have unless it breaks. Clearly my luck isn't too good. The cable broke after 2-3yrs, ... ...iPod wouldn't recharge but which is cheaper, replacing the iPod battery or buying a new cable?
I wasn't too pleased to find out the price of a new cable so I decided to go with a cheap import from Hong Kong (not an iPod brand cable) which cost me only £2-3 and I've had no problems with it as of yet. I certainly wouldn't pay the £13-16 the iPod cable costs.

well what can i say, you get this connector free when you buy your ipod or you can buy it seperately for between £5 and £10. Obviously it can be very useful and very handy because it can be used to transfer songs, images and videos from computer to ipod.
As well as this it can be used to charge your ipod if you buy a serperate mains charger. the cable measures around one metre meaning it can be plugged into your ipod from a good distance. Its made ...

Apple iPod data cable is not an essential purchase as any iPod you buy comes with one with the exception of the shuffle.
However should you find yours broken or wanting an extra cable this is for you.
The cable is identical to the one shipped with your original ipod both in apperance and length. It comes with a locking dock connecter at one side and a USB connector on the other. Advantages: Has both USB and Firewire cables with an iPod dock connector. Disadvantages: New iPods cannot use Firewire.

If you have both FireWire and USB 2.0 then it seems to be a small concern. If you have an older Mac or PC which has FireWire and only a USB 1.0 or 1.1 port then having to use a USB cable with the USB port gives you a maximum download of only 12Mbit/s. If you do not want to change your computer and want an iPod it may be a good idea for you to install a USB 2.0 port if you can, or shop around for an older iPod and cables that support FireWire. I installed a USB 2.0 card into an old G3 iMac to be able to use it with my iPod and was very satisfied with the results.

...I use to access my apple ipod via my computer is the USB 2.0 data cable.
This small and inconspicuous lead in my opinion is invaluable. Not only does it allow ease of connection to your computer, but it is a cable that most computers accept. I prefer this wire to the one with the firewire connector as it allows me to go and connect to most computer be it a Mac or a PC.
The connection is quick with it being a USB device and this allows me transfer ... ...that I have. This wire is also a life saver if i need to charge my ipod as sometimes I do not have the plug. This cable allows you to charge your ipod through any USB connection.
This is a must have for anyone who uses there ipod at work or at home and in my opinion having a couple is a good idea. ...
