The apple ipod earphones come as standard with all apple ipod products but you can also purchase them from official apple dealers and outlets for around £15-£20.
I used my ipod earphones for a few weeks after I got my ipod but as soon as I found a suitable replacement, I got rid of them.
The sound quality is very poor, I had to turn my ipod up to full volume (even with the volume limiter off) before I could hear the music properly. The bass sounds I got from these earphones was also very poor, a problem which was not helped by the volume required as it distorted the sound quite a lot.
Considering the price you pay for these, they are not even comfortable, I felt them slipping out of my ear one more than one occasion and a few times, after using them for about an hour, I had a severe pain in my ear.
The connector of these earphones is a normal 3.5 mm stereo jack so if you were really desperate, you could use this with most mp3 players. Infact, nearly every mobile audio device has this input so these are quite versatile earphones. It's just a shame they are not very good.

Advantages: Good looking, easy to use, simple to download games and updates and excellent standard features Disadvantages: Easy to scratch the back of the iPod, quite big and the battery life is not great.
Advantages: So many Apps available, very good design, Battery life is good on Music, The accelerometer is good Disadvantages: You have to use iTunes, somes apps cost alot the prices are from £0.59 + (some apps are free)
