Apple iPod Earphones

I seem to be inundated with these Apple iPod little white earphones round my house. I think this is because when I got my first iPod off of eBay I thought I would buy a new pair of the ear phones as well. Of course I didn't know that the ipod itself would come with a new and unused pair from the seller. Then I bought Himself a little iPod for his Birthday and this came with another et of earphones. Finally I have recently got myself a iphone and again another pair of these white earphones are included.

The fact that Himself finds these earphones unusable means that I have four sets kicking round the house all for my own personal use. I have managed to keep all the wires tangle free but more often than not I still can't find a pair to use when I need to! Typical.

The headphones themselves are actually quite distinctive as the white colouring that they have make them instantly identifiable as being made by Apple as most other earphones are black or grey. The cord that they have is a good size at about 43 inches in length. This is good enough to have the ipod tucked away in a pocket but still having these earphones fit comfortably in my ears. The design of the earphones is really pretty basic and there are only a couple of little bits that make them at all interesting.

The earphones have a small volume control on the cable which is very thin but still easy to control the volume with although personally I can't say I use it that often because whilst choosing a track or a playlist I will select the volume I want and pretty much keep it that way until removing the earphones. I guess that it is still a bonus to have it there should the need to use it arise.

The earphones also have a tiny clip type piece on the side of one of the seperate ear cables and this allows the two sections of cable to be attached together at the desired length. This is ideal for when I am out running as it means that the cables are not flapping around annoyingly in my face.

As well as these two 'special features' the earphones also have a L and a R on each earphone denoting which earphone goes into which ear. This is really handy because more often than not the right earphone doesn't seem to fit that well into my left ear! This seems strange as the overall design of the earphones seem to be more or less a match of each other in the way that they are both pretty circular.

The earphones fit really well into my ears and I find them very comfortable to wear. I know for a fact that this isn't the case for most people as Himself has real trouble with keeping them in his ears and for that reason has had to by a proper pair of headphones. I guess it is just a case of trial and error for everyone as we all must have a slightly different shape of ear.

The sound quality of these little earphones I find very good. I mean I am not much of an expert but I can say that they don't give a tin like sound that some of the cheaper earphones I used to use gave and they seem to keep the clarity of the music pretty true even at a high volume. Himself's headphones which cost a lot of money do in fact give a louder and clearer sound but as far as the sound quality that I need goes these do very well for me and don't seem to let in too much outside noise when I have them in.

All in all I have to say that with four pairs around I shouldn't have to buy and earphones for a long time. The pair that I use most seem to be fairing well and have not showing any real signs of wear and tear and I expect them to last for a long time and I will probably loose them before they break! I really do have no problems at all with these earphones and for that reason I feel a top score of 5 out of 5 stars is in order and a very high recommendation!
