Apple have now perfected it's Ipod range with the fantastic Ipod Nano 2nd Generation which I was lucky enough to be bought for christmas by santa . After considering various different systems this seemed to be the best reviewed and best priced MP3 player around not only this but it passed in the style stakes as well being ulta slim and very very smooth.

Opening it up on christmas day (yes i managed to wait that long) the first thing I wanted to do was get some tracks on it and check out the sound quality but first how do I get music onto the Ipod.
Well that was easy all I had to do was download Apple Itunes onto my laptop free of charge then select the tracks from my laptop, plug in the USB to both laptop and Ipod and start transfer.
The files are all converted for you and this process is super quick. Once on the Ipod I used the very easy menu to select random tracks and I was blown away. Crystal clear sound quality and the ability to carry out other tasks on the Ipod whilst listening I was in the corner very quiet for about 2 hours.
Included on the Ipod are 4 games very addictive these are Music Quiz, Parachute, Brick Buster and Solitaire so even when your listening you can keep your brain occupied as well and keep those digits busy.
Also a great feature is being able to store all your photos on the Ipod so you also have a portable photo album great for showing all your friends those holiday shots. These can also be used as front screen shots for your Ipod.
The controls on the Ipod are very very simple to use a touch sensative dial is very smooth and easy to navigate menu makes using the Ipod Nano a doddle for even my Grandparents. Yes I got my Grandfather one for christmas as well.
The battery life on the Ipod is great but the one down side is a wall charger is not supplied so the only method without purchasing one is through your PC or Laptop via the USB cable supplied.
I believe that Santa paid £99 for my particular system but you can also get the Ipod Nano in 4 and 8 gb these are available in various different colours however if you get the 2gb you dont have a choice its only silver. This however looks great feels great and works like a dream I would never consider a different MP3 Player again.

There are many other little bits and pieces but these are the extras I have purchased to enhance my use of my Ipod Nano It follows me everywhere to the gym (so small it doesnt interfere) work and just about everywhere I go.
Anyone considering an MP3 Player this is the one for you there may be cheaper available on the market but one thing is for sure Apple have come up with a real winner and for a little extra dough its worth the expense.
