== Overview ==
I first brought my Ipod nano when they first came out about two years ago; it cost me then about £140. Since then I have enjoyed every moment of it and received crisp clear music.
== Sound quality ==
For those 'Ipod virgins' out there who have never experienced the sound of an Ipod it is stunning. With every Ipod you receive a set of head phones which will blow you away not only are they remarkably comfortable, but give such clear and crisp music even when the volume is turned up to full.
I have found that with my Ipod if I listen
to it on a moderate volume (around about 50%) that it lasts for about 11-12 hours which I think is very good considering that it takes next to no time to charge up.
== Ease of use ==
I'm sure most people are familiar with the Ipod click wheel, it has made Ipod so unique, and I am sure many people also don't actually know how to use one but as soon as you purchase your Ipod there is the basic instructions on the back of the Ipod which peel off. And it only takes a few minutes play before you become a master of the click wheel so don't be put off.
== Look and design ==
I'm sure many people when the Ipod nano first came out saw the adverts on TV where it is compared to a pencil for width and this is no cinematic illusion it really is that small. As for the look for those people who haven't seen the Ipod nano in black you are missing out it looks so elegant and works so well with the silver backing.
There is probably only one design floor that I can think of and I'm sure you have heard rumours about this and this is the screen I know people who have broken theirs, but I am quite ruff with mine and it has never broken.
== Instructions ==
With the Ipod I felt no real need for instructions because it really was that simple simply insert the CD (provided) then plug in your Ipod and it synchronises your entire Itunes library in a matter of minutes.
However for more complex operations like trying to synchronise photos or an address book to your Ipod I do recommend that you use the instruction manual as it is very easy to make a mistake and the instruction manual gives you clear directions on what to do, what could go wrong and also offer diagrams to help if you get confused or stuck, because the last thing that you want to do is make a mistake.
== Range of features ==
Obviously the Ipod nano plays music but, it also offers a whole host of additional features for example games; the nano comes with four games: Solitaire Brick Parachute A music quiz using your Itunes library. New games are also available to download any time form the Itunes music store online.
The Ipod nano also acts as a photo album taking pictures off your computer and onto your Ipod with a simple viewer or a slideshow setting to display the images.
The Ipod also allows you to upload an address book to keep your contacts at arms length, as well as a clock which also displays a world time function, also a stopwatch and a calendar.
The latest addition for Ipods is also available on the Ipod nano and this is Nike+Ipod which allows you to run whilst listening to music and keep track of your time distance and a memory of your best scores, however this costs around £30 extra and the appropriate trainers cost about £60.
== Durability ==
As you may well know when the Ipod nano first came out it was said to always break with either the batteries not lasting long enough or the screen breaking, however I have not had a problem with any of this.
The one main problem that I have had with my Ipod is the scratching it seems where ever I go I get more of them. Apple have tried to sort this out by providing a sock for our Ipod which does seem to work but it does cost more as an additional feature.
== Value for money ==
All I am going to say is I brought mine 2 years ago for £140 and they cost around about the same today, I think it has been possibly the best investment I have ever had and I wouldn't consider even for a minute switching to a different sort of mp3 player.
