Slim, slick, stylish..all words I would use to describe the black ipod video (60gb). Which is basically a portable device which has feedback of audio, image and video.
Some of the key specifications of the ipod are: -5.5 ounces (Very light!) -2.5 inch colour display. -Can store up to 15,000 songs or 25,000 pictures or 150 hours of video!!
The design of the ipod is great, I think that the black version looked more stylish..though it was annoying how easily your fingerprints show up on the sides. The design of the headphones (which are included) is well suited to the product, but can be a nuisance as it signals out to passer-bys that you are carrying around an ipod. Therefore I might advise that you buy new headphones, to hide the fact you are carrying an ipod to potential muggers. Though, the playback the ipod has in the headphones is AMAZING, as they split the sound into the 2 headphones, to give the idea of surround sound.
Another hint to try and reduce the chance of your ipod being stolen, you could have it engraved at the back, like mine is engraved with my name and post code. Hasn't been stolen yet :)
The thing that annoyed me about the ipod, was that in the package, the charger was not included. To avoid having to constantly use your computer to charge your battery, I would suggest purchasing a plug-in-charger, at a price of around £20. Though I was lucky, as I used the charger I had from mini-ipod. The charging time to charge it 100% is 4 hours, which is quite long, though compared to it's music playback of 20 hours, this is acceptable.
The software you need to use for the ipod is iTunes, a very professional, reliable and free package, where your ipod can update music and videos. There should be a cd to set-up iTunes, but also you can go on the iTunes website for a free download. From this service, you can also purchase music for a relatively cheap price, though I choose not to.
Another problem I had with the ipod was that video was hard to put onto the ipod, as it is set to only accept videos with a certain type of format, so instead I downloaded some videos already in the right format off download services.
If you're thinking, 'I may as well stick with a mini-ipod,' then you are welcome to, but think about what you'll be missing out on. Perfect quality video playback, photos and the new addition of podcasts! Podcasts allow you to hear some of your favourite radio shows, including Russell Brand.
The controls on the ipod are fairly simple to use, using it's touch pad, which also looks pretty stylish and suits the design of the ipod. The ipod's easy use is enhanced by the guidebook which gives you clear instructions.
Overall, this product has widely impressed me as being the leading music player, with a professional design, brilliant ideas and very useful. At around £200 this product is well worth while, especially if you need something to keep you entertained on long journeys!

i have filled it up with my collection and some movies/videos which look great and have no problem playing on the ipod.
The ipod sometimes freezes my pc or on it's own ... ...is not noticeable, mine after 1 year could almost be called depressing as the screen is slightly masked from different positions.
Overall, This is a must for any apple fan, ipod fan, mp3 fan, on the go movie fan. And i recommend it to everyone who considers it. ...

even though i do not possess one, the new ipod does look very trendy, it's slim and light making it portable which is always useful, and it has a big memory so it is an excellent item to have to store music, videos, pictures, etc. therefore it is like an essential thing that is required in our lives - like mobiles. people can't see themselves exisiting without a mobile now, and the ipod is an excellent way of entertaining oneself no matter what situation ... ...video said, the trademark of the white earphones is like a big signal to theives, etc that you have an ipod. ipod's are expensive and not everyone has one, and as they are extremely popular around the world, people are always wanting one.

I could not live without this item! It has become my gym/ driving companion. I have 3000 songs on this and it isn't even up to 10gb full. The photo displays aree good and easy to load on. Itunes is simple to use in loading up CD's and downloading albums. The sound quality is amazing and you can play albums, select individual songs, make your own playlists or even just play them randomly. It also holds videos and if you download the right software ... ...this is though.) The only downside is that the black one does scratch really easily and it would be worth getting a cover or skin to protect it. This is so easy to use even my mum, who is a total technophobe has one and can use it.

...these minor issues. Apple have however responded to the issues raised in the last paragraph. The release of software version 1.2 for ipod has for me seen a big improvement and makes more use of the ipod's functionablilty. The screen is now 30% brighter, with the option now of turning down the brightness for increased battery life. You can now download GAMES for your ipod, I have had many hours of amusement from playing PAC-MAN on my ipod. There are ... ...I have been told by apple that in order for the full quoted battery life to be utilised fully all additionaly functions need to be turned off. This means things like the EQ, sound check etc.
The software for me is also a very good reason why to buy an ipod. Both the software on the ipod and the itunes software are second to none.
I would however recommend buying a white ipod rather than a black one as the white ones show up any scratches more than ...

...Apples mp3 players have got to be the best on the market. With a stylish look and a affordable price it has got to be the bees knees. Make your friends jelouse. With such a huge memory you can out all your songs and latest pictures with memory to spare. The Ipod also makes a supperb present/gift. Its very easy to handle. It had a clear colour screen which gives the screen a very crisp image. Two main disadvantages would be that the software which is provided can be unreliable sometimes. e.g have to keep reseting the ipod (which dosn't loose and tracks). Also the back of the ipod scrathes very easily, even if you have and iskin or a leather holder it can still get scrathed. If anyone wanted to buy a mp3 player this is the one to have....

...Generally the ipod 60gb is a reasonable mp3 player with a very well known design and maker - ipod, but the look is not really that good, it is more a fashion statement. The size of the memory is good for the size but the weight is a bit hefty and does weigh a tonne. However the size is great and many songs can be held with ease. The ease of use is great as the ipod has a good menu with a very easy format to understand and a good scroll button to move quickly between songs. But the look of all white does not appeal to me however may to you, but the weight is high. The other problem with any ipod is how it is defaulted to update any music that it is plugged into....

...the ipod 60gb is a good mp3 player as it is ver user friendly and has many colour pixels, with a huge storage capacity, for photos and videos. there are many extra features such as games a clock and an alarm clock. the 60gb hard disk goves you the pleasure of mass photo and video and songs (music) capacity. even though the wonderful ipod 60gb has all of these useful features, it as a tendancy to break with ease, and the screen clarity is not very clear. the weight is an issue, however can be overcome by putting it in bags, or clipping it to your belt. the ipod screen itself is not especially strong, and can crack if compressed with little force. the screen replacement is highly expensive and takes time. but overall it is a good mp3 player with a high number or features....
