While Apple didn’t actually invent the MP3 market, they certainly have played a key role in shaping it as it has evolved. One example of this is the ever-changing Nano, now in 9 nano-chromoatic color schemes coating a body that more closely resembles the 2nd generation Nano than the 3rd. 8GB may seem like a fairly paltry storage capacity, especially with the classic iPod now shipping with 120GB of storage, but I still haven’t filled mine up. I’m an avid fan of LOST, 24, and numerous musicians and typically use my iPod Nano to watch or listen to whatever I download off of iTunes. I can report that the video quality is excellent, especially for such a small device. I do wish that iTunes would convert my episodes of LOST and 24 to formats that didn’t have the occasionally hiccups on my 4th generation iPod Nano but that’s my only honest gripe outside some of the questionable case colorings. Nano-chromatic might work for some, but I’ll just stick with my classy looking, silver model which matches my MacBook Pro quite nicely. While extremely thin, the 4th generation iPod Nano neither lacks in battery power nor in durability. I routinely fly from the U.S. to the U.K. and I rarely have to recharge my Nano mid-flight. It is also worth noting that my 2 year old boy has twice managed to snag my nano and use it as a victim of his infamously deadly ‘dinosaur claw’ attack, but my Nano doesn’t have a scratch to show for it. If only my PSP was built as well... The audio quality is incredibly sharp, and the included earphones are of reasonably high quality. Being a bit of an audiophile I went ahead and splurged on Shure’s delightful SE530’s. At just over $300 they were twice the price of my beloved Nano, but well worth it for picking out every subtle nuance. The Apple earphones which came with my 4th generation Nano are great, and my wife uses with her MacBook Air when she’s working late. All things considered, the 4th generation iPod Nano 8GB is a stellar buy for any burgeoning audiophile or anyone who wants to watch their TV shows on the go.
I also chose to purchase aftermarket earphones for my iPod, I purchased the Shure EC4, the sound quality is fantatic, admittedly they are more expensive than the iPod, but I purchased these a few years back and they have been used on the 3 different iPod's I have owned. I suppose you only need to buy them once and they will last you for years and then you forget about the cost.
Decent review!

I hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion to improve your review? There was lots of good information there but it was slightly difficult to read. If you leave bigger gaps between your paragraphs it will make it much easier. Good review all the same!
