The iPod nano is a great music player for people who love to listen to music when working or just generally on the go. The sleek and almost weightless MP3 player makes the Nano one of the best looking ipods on the market today.
The iPod itself is set out like many past iPod - expect for the iPod touch. It has a very clear glass screen which makes selecting your music a very easy process. It also has the classic click wheel in the centre of the MP3 player which again makes it very simple to use. At the top of iPod the hold button can be found, and on the bottom of the iPod the headphone connection slot and the docking slot where the charger and/or the external speakers can be fitted in. The nano is one of the thinnest iPods out on the market - the sides of the iPod are about the same thickness as two credit cards placed on top of each other, and the middle of the iPod is a little thicker then that making it a very good looking portable music device.
On the main menu of the iPod at the bottom of the screen there are little pictures of the Album artwork you have on the iPod. This makes the iPod feel modern and interesting to look at. One of the new functions of the iPod nano is the drop menu you get when select a song. If you choose the song you want to listen to and hold the centre button a drop menu appears from the top of screen allowing you to carry out certain commands - such as browsing the album or viewing more songs by the selected artist.
The iPod also has the option of video playback. This can either be videos downloaded from iTunes, or videos you have made or downloaded yourself. The video playback quality is very good and is viewed on the screen as landscape making it 'widescreen'.
The main disadvantage of the iPod Nano is the way that when you physically place the iPod so its landscape, for example when you place it in your pocket when its 'up-right’ and you want to change a song, you cant because it automatically switches to cover flow and there is no way of turning it off. The other bad point is the shaking method of changing the song. This means you don’t have to press any buttons in order to switch to the next track, you just shake the iPod and it will do it automatically - however, this does not always work and sometimes you have to shake the iPod really hard before you actually get anywhere with it.
All in all the iPod nano is very good at what it does. Although some of the new features make it a bit 'big for its own boots', when everything does work and run smoothly, it is excellent and possible the best iPod nano yet.

Advantages: Great product, nice audio playback. Beautiful screen Disadvantages: Short battery life when playing games. A couple of very small annoyances.
