I received an ipod nano 4Gb Third Generation for birthday last week. I knew I was getting it when my parents somewhat told me what I got but heck was I excited I had a little mp3 player in the past that could hold about 12 songs and ran out of battery almost straight away then when that broke I do not know why it did well I turned to my phones mp3 player but that is just not the same. I started to get my music off my shelf and put it in order that I was going to put it on my ipod and little things like that I do not know why but I had this scene that It is going to be great having this ipod for my music and being able to take it everywhere I go.
I got my ipod and I was so surprised by the size and wight of it was much smaller that I ever imagined that it was going to be I connected it up to my computer and had to use iTunes which is not the best software but I put up with it. When I got the music finally on my ipod I listened to it and the quality off the music is just amazing its crystal clear every beat that is played you can here it. I could not believe how good the quality of the music is.
The style of the ipod is something else I think that an alien from out of space and came down gave apple the designs and flew away all in secret I cannot belive how many of my friends who are ipod less ant one now just because they have seen mine up close. The only flaw with the design is that they have moved the button the locks the ipod from the top from the bottom so if you want to lock it or unlock it you have to get used to it which I am sure I will in the future but it's slightly annoying that they have changed where it is placed.
The display measures in at 320 by 240 and is brilliant for whatever you are doing on it if you are looking at the cover flow feature or watching a movie the display is just the right size for the ipod to be light and small and it odes not strain your eyes if you are watching a movie for hours on end.
The features apple has put on your ipod are great I will review each of them for you here.
Music here you can listen to music their's a new and very cleaver feature in here called cover flow where you can just flow though all your music covers until you find one which you want to listen to which looks very cool when you're doing it and is very refreshing to feel you get a satisfaction that you do not get from doing anything else it's a stress relief. When our listening to music you can have a picture of the album cover and you can a little bar at the bottom which shows you how long there is of the track left and how much of the track you listen to which is good it also shows what band is playing what song and what album it has come from.
You can put videos onto this device which movies and TV shows can be downloaded from the itunes store and put into your ipod from there you would think that the screen is to small but it's not it does not hurt your eyes while watching it which is ace It has almost the same information as the music if you turn up the value or fast foreword it or rewind it then it will come u[p with saying the information name of what you're watching and the etime it' been playing for and the time left of the video.
You can have your very own pictures on your ipod if that is what you desire if you are on holiday and need a device to hold all your photo's so you can clear your camerasmemory or something like that then it's very good or if you just want to be able to view a lots of pictures while your out and about then it's a fairly good feature.
To sum the ipod up its a very cool and stylish bit of kit but if you are going to get one I would recommend you get a case for your ipod.

I might get one of these when my PSP gives up the ghost.
I mormally use that for videos, but it is a bit bulky to carry around.
And like you pointed out 320x240 is very comfortable for watching movies
