Do you get a nice shiny new iPod and make a promise to yourself that you will look after it and then to keep it looking new for as long as possible?
Do you keep this up for about a week and then start throwing it in you bag/rucksack/pocket?
Do you now get really annoyed because your nice shiny iPod now has scratches all over it?
If the answer is yes to the above then you need some iPod socks!
iPod socks are as the name suggests a sock for your iPod. They are little pouches that you slip your iPod into whenever you aren’t using it. They come in packs of six (Orange, Grey, Pink, Green, Blue and Purple) and are supposed to be compatible with all iPods except the iPod Shuffle.
All iPods do fit into the socks. IPod nanos slide easily in and out, so could fall out if it is in your bag upside down, but admittedly this has never happened to me! iPod touches are I think, slightly too wide. They do fit in the socks but it is a bit of a stretch. I can’t comment on classic iPods as I don’t own one, but I would think they fit perfectly as they aren’t as wide as a touch and aren’t as slim as a nano.
The socks themselves are very good quality and should last a very long time. Even if they don’t you have another five to use!
The only disadvantage is if you want to change the song or look at the screen you have to take it out of the sock and the put it back in, but to be honest thats not that much bother (To me anyway!).
These are a definite must buy if you want to stop your iPod getting covered in those inevitable scratches.
