This has to be one of the best I-pods I have ever bought, I was very happy with every aspect of it, (well almost). To be honest though, there has not been much changed from the first generation, so if you already own that, it's not really worth it.
Look and Design
It's very light and thin, and portability isn't a problem. It also looks pretty good, the back is made from stainless steel, which looks pretty cool, one problem though, it's the easiest thing to scratch and chip ever, so not for the clumsy. The screen is pretty durable though. The front looks pretty cool too with a high-tech yet simple shiny black surround the screen. 4/5
Function
The screen's display is bright, clear and has amazing contrast. The iPod also has a pretty slick feature that allows it to automatically adapt screen brightness to light level. One downside of this is that if it gets too bright or if sunlight shines directly on it the screen becomes very hard to see, but since that happens with traditional screens anyway; it's not that big a deal. Audio quality through headphones is first-rate, and it comes with a pretty good integrated speaker, although I'm not sure when anyone would use that on a regular basis. The touch screen is a great way to navigate and is very responsive. It is also very resistant to fingerprints and scratching. The iPod can display videos, pictures and music files very well and also supports Wi-Fi. It has an internet provider that is a iPod version of Mac's safari. It also has e-mail and messaging features. It also has games which make good occasional boredom breakers. However, since it's not principally a gaming device, they are more along the lines of mobile phone games.
Overall
Well worth the price, in --->MY OPINION<---, it's the best of it's kind that I've owned for a while. 4/5
