One of the best things I have ever bought. For years I had always said to myself I would never buy an Apple iPod, but I went back on my own promise just a couple of weeks agio when I gave in to temptation, and boy am I glad I did. The sleekness of the actual product is amazing, and it is well worth getting a case and screen protector for it as you wiill just want to keep it looking as great as the day you first get it out of the box. Now on to what this little beauty can do. It is Wi-Fi enabled, so although you cannot access the internet wherever you are like the iPhone (or any mobile), you can do so in a Wi-Fi enabled area, so you can get access to your favourite internet sites and even the iTunes store to download your music/podcasts to the iPod's memory instantly. The interface is very easy to use and the touch screen is just the right amount of sensitive. The iPod has an 'Accelerometer' in it, so if you turn it on one side, the image moves. This is particularly useful if you are browsing the internet or watching a video that you have either downloaded from iTunes, watching on YouTube or uploaded to the iPod from your computer. There are plenty of applications that you can put onto the phone too, ranging from 'time waster' games through to Recipe guides and even Facebook. All of these are available from the App Store, where you can download some for free as well as ones that you have to pay for. The prices range from anywhere between 59p and around £5 if not more. The whole iPod is controlled via the touchscreen interface with the exception of some additional volume control buttons on the side. You can be listening to your favourite music, and then one press of the 'home' button on the bottom, you can flip to your applications and play a game whilst still listening to the music. All in all, if you are thinking of buying an Mp3 or Media player this year, make it the iPod touch. You most definitely wont regret it!

Advantages: Large touch screen, great for using internet unlike a lot of mobile devices, great sound. Disadvantages: Scratches easily, so small it can be hard to find if you're not careful.
