When i purchases this Ipod earlier this year, shortly after they came out in England, i was very dissapointed with this ipod. With its mirrored back leadign to scratching and dust collection it is necesary to buy a case for it, but what a selection, you can buy a rubbish cloth case which you cannot see the screen, or a rubber one which makes changing a song almost physically impossible.
But to talk about the Ipod itself, the black is prone to scratching far more easily than the silver version. Although it looks better in my opinion, more futuristic and sleek it does gather dust at an alarming rate......
The cheapest place i could find the ipod (at a reputable seller) was on www.play.com but thats if your ok with buying over the internet, but HMV arent that bad if youw ant to go and see it. Or you could always go to the Apple shop itself.
A slighlty dissapointing purchase, wish i had got a touch now, although the memory on this ipod is far greater, if you want films and have a huge CD collection.
One piece of advice, if you are planning to carry it around with you make sure you have an empty pocket, if accompanied by keys the ipod will definately not survive haha.
Quality wise, it is fairly good, the ipod is standard but you must have good headphones, Apple insist that only ipod headphone will work well, but others can be bought from many web sites etc...
Easy to use, as you would expect from an ipod.
Video quality is good, sound quality on films is sometimes lacking clarity but not soo bad.
Length of battery is a positive, over 30 hours means that you can go for days without charging.
Value for money, perhaps, around £150-160 which is average for its memory size, but you an buy other MP3 players with nearly the same amount for cheaper.
